Ryan Reynolds Just Got A Taste Of His Own Medicine With Blake Lively's Happy Birthday Burn

If there ever was an actor who earned the title of “Absolute Gem” on social media, it’s Ryan Reynolds.

Whether it’s providing these amazingly hilarious responses to fans dirty tweets, or golden nuggets about the joys of parenting like this treat below, the man always delivers.

Now you might’ve remembered this incredible birthday wish Reynolds gave to wife Blake Lively on Twitter that had the internet cackling with joy.

The man is a master of sarcasm and sincere-cynicism, did you expect him to give a standard, Happy Birthday tweet to his significant other? If you thought that, then you probably don’t know Ryan Reynolds at all.

And even though Blake’s never been one to shy away from proclaiming her feelings for her hubby, she also proved she can go toe-to-toe with the Happy Birthday jokes, as evinced by the following tweet:

Tit-for-tat. Crop-for-crop. Ryan for Ryan.

People loved Lively’s savagery and ability to dish out the same sweet photo-cropping revenge against her hubby once his birthday rolled around.

I can’t wait to see what Reynold’s response will be. For now, though, Lively’s definitely winning the Happy Birthday war.

Photographer Hides Pennywise The Clown In Sister's Engagement Photos

Siblings do two things for each other. Help out one another, and prank each other. Jesse McLaren just found a way to do both.

His sister asked him to take her engagement photos, which he happily did, but he also added a little something extra in there. See if you can spot it.

McLaren added Pennywise the Clown to every photo and so far the happy couple has not yet noticed. You know who did notice though? The internet.

Although some people found something even scarier in the photos.

Congratulations to the happy couple. May you have many years of joy and revenge ahead!

President Trump Takes Another Shot At Congresswoman Who Exposed Him

Donald Trump continues to go after Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) on Twitter following her account of Trump’s insensitive remarks to Myeshia Johnson, widow of the late Army Sgt. La David Johnson, who was killed in an ambush in Niger.

According to the Congresswoman, Trump told the widow that her husband “must have known what he signed up for.”

So in classic Trump fashion, he spent the weekend hitting back at Rep. Wilson, first on Saturday:

Twitter had many thoughts.

Many hit back at Trump for going after Wilson…

But let’s face it, Trump’s behavior is hardly surprising at this point.

Insulting people via Twitter is what he does:

But it’s disturbing all the same.

Photo Of Starbucks' New Holiday Season Cups Appears Online

It’s mid-October, and you know what that means: it’s time for companies to start preparing for Christmas!

One such company, Starbucks Coffee, courts controversy every year  with their Holiday Cups – no matter how “Holiday” themed they turn out to be. Past cups have ranged from plain red, to wintery nature scenes, to open references to Christmas.

This year, well before the big unveiling, a Starbucks employee leaked the holiday cup design on Reddit:

In 2015, Starbucks’ plain red cup led to a boycott from evangelical Christians who believed the company “hated Jesus.” It seems they’ve taken steps to avoid that scenario by including a whimsical Christmas tree and gifts on this cup. Good luck with that.

I mean, certainly someone will be offended by this design…

The mockery was swift…

Some are comparing the design to some familiar stories…

It’s also possible, of course, that this isn’t Starbucks’ only design. Last year, they crowd-sourced 13 designs from 13 different women, 6 of whom were from other countries. Perhaps we’ve finally reached a point, as a  species, where one of these designs will allow us to order a coffee (or not) and go on with our lives without being outraged.

Ya think?

'Garfield' Creator Jim Davis Finally Puts Disgusting Rumor About One 1990 Comic To Bed

Garfield creator Jim Davis says a 1990 comic strip has been widely misunderstood, and that it doesnotshow Garfield’s owner, Jon Arbuckle, drinking a cup of dog semen.

Wait, what? Explain please…

The Garfield comic, which is hailed as one of the most widely distributed and famous of all comics has appeared in newspapers all around the country. As you most likely know, it features Jon Arbuckle, his cat, Garfield, and his dog, Odie. Jon has a longtime crush on Garfield’s veterinarian, Dr. Liz Wilson.

For years one particular strip featuring Jon and Garfield at the vet has confused diehard fans.

The predominant theory is that the strip shows Jon consuming dog semen during a routine vet check:

Twitter had some questions…

First of all no matter the theory… gross.

This episode has clearly perplexed many for years, and finally, Garfield‘s creator Jim Davis has cleared everything up.

In an interview, Davis explained:

So good ole Jon took it upon himself to partake in what he innocently believed was coffee and it turned out to be hormones for dogs? Still unpleasant to think about but better than the alternative theory.

One of life’s great mysteries solved! Now, where is Hoffa?

This Rescue Dog And Baby Are Best Friends And We Can't Get Over It

Do you like friendships between babies and animals? Of course you do! You are a person with a heart.

Well, here’s a good one for you. Nora is an English Pointer who was rescued seven years ago from an abusive situation by a woman named Elizabeth. Nora is still a little skittish but there is one thing she truly loves, Elizabeth’s youngest son Archie.

The two of them are pretty much inseparable. When speaking with Bored Panda she said, “If Archie is having a bath, Nora is lying on the bath mat waiting for him to get out. If I’m nursing him she wants up on my lap, too.”

School President Defends Fliers Telling LGBT Students To Commit Suicide

College is the time when many young people first get involved in politics. They’ll go to rallies, volunteer, and put up posters. However, someone at Cleveland State University has been putting up some truly awful and terrifying posters.

The poster reminds the reader about how many LGBT youth commit suicide and asks others to do the same. The poster is attributed to a group called “Fascist Solutions.”

While most people on campus have denounced the poster one significant person has not, the president of Cleveland State University. President Ronald M. Berkman issued statement via email that left many people outraged.

While it can be difficult to distinguish between free speech and hate speech, asking a vulnerable minority to kill themselves certainly seems to fall in latter category.

In fairness, President Berkman did issue a follow up statement apologizing for his earlier comments and expressing his desire to have a discussion.

The poster was eventually taken down but not for the reason you’d expect. It was removed because it didn’t have “prior approval,” which seems to suggest that next time Fascist Solutions will be able to express hateful thoughts as long as they ask permission first.

So far it seems like most people are not happy with any part of the school’s response.

No new posters have gone up yet but this still may be far from over.

Ivanka Trump Claims She Went Through A 'Punk Phase,' And People Are Skeptical

Chances are that if you were anything between a tween and a teen in the 90s, you probably had a punk phase. The Offspring, Paramore, Green Day, and a bunch of other bands often frequented either your CD player or cutting edge 128mb mp3 player. Eventually the punk lifestyle would grab hold and everything from temporary tattoos to animesque hair colors fell under the ‘punk’ moniker for most parents, which includes Ivanka Trump’s mother as told in the pages of her new memoir.

Ivanka wrote about it in her mother Ivana’s new book Raising Trump and said that at one point she dyed her hair blue and was ‘really into Nirvana.’ The thing is, no one is really buying it.

She didn’t provide any photos so folks had to use their imagination.

There was also a problem with her alleged punk obsession.

It was pretty evident for people that actually did dye their hair blue and listen to Nirvana that Ivanka’s punk rock phase was nothing more than a cheap attempt at trying to relate to millennials.

Man Tries Killing Spiders With Blowtorch, Ends Up Setting House On Fire

Anyone with an unnatural and irrational fear of spiders (ie, everyone, so it’s pretty natural and rational, actually) has dreamt about burning them all with a flamethrower.

It’s kind of a running joke online too, about people burning their houses down after spotting a single spider in it.

But it looks like one Tucson, Arizona man took the jokes as inspiration to do the same in his own home when he found a bunch of spiders. He grabbed a blowtorch and went to town.

Unfortunately, he learned the hard way that joking about killing spiders with a blowtorch could have really disastrous effects on one’s home. He ended up unintentionally setting his mobile home on fire.

Local news station KVOA reported that the man tried using a blowtorch get rid of the spiders and webs in his home when his home went up in flames. An elderly woman had to be carried out of the home, but she thankfully didn’t sustain any injuries.

It took the Tucscon Fire Department, who’s still investigating the cause of the fire, 23 minutes to finally quell the flames in the man’s home.

Do you think the man overreacted? Or is all fair in love and attempted attacks on spider’s lives?

Twitter Rejects Trump's Claim That Obama Didn't Call Families Of Fallen Soldiers

During a conference in the Rose Garden on Monday, Donald Trump was asked a question about four members of the U.S. Special Forces who died during an ambush in Niger almost two weeks ago. Trump had not yet made a statement about their deaths, nor contacted their families, as far as anyone knew. In response, Trump threw a pretty wild accusation in the direction of President Obama.

“If you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didn’t make calls. A lot of them didn’t make calls. I like to call when it’s appropriate, when I think I am able to do it,” he said.

Not only is Trump besmirching the name of Obama, he is also throwing every other president before him under the bus with this outrageous claim, one that was quickly refuted by the people who have the most authority—the families of fallen soldiers.

People quickly rushed to show the receipts, and let everyone know how they were comforted in their grief by the commander of chiefs of the past:

Even former White House photographer Pete Souza showed up to share some moments when Obama and his wife were there for grieving families:

Now, where is Trump’s proof?
