Trump Supporters Are Angrily Tweeting At The Wrong Black Man–And We Aren't Surprised

This is LeVar Burton. You might recognize him from your childhood from the awesome show, Reading Rainbow.

This is LaVar Ball, a media personality, businessman, and father to three basketball players.

Recently, Donald Trump helped get Ball’s son LiAngelo and two of his teammates from UCLA out of shoplifting charges in China. Something that Ball didn’t thank Trump for, and a fact that the Donald was very, very upset about and went on a Twitter rant as a result.

The President went so far as to say he should’ve left the basketball players in a Chinese jail.

This is what Ball said that upset Trump so much.

In an ironic twist of events, Trump supporters started attacking LeVar Burton, you know, the man I previously mentioned who helped teach millions of kids across America how to read, instead of LaVar Ball.

Probably because it’s too confusing to know more than one person of color with the same name (even though they’re spelled differently)??

Burton himself tweeted about the mistakes, finding humor in the entire situation.

Which is probably easy for him, considering he’s such a proven talent with tons of awards to back that up.

Soon, the rest of Twitter noticed the hilarious mix-ups and started getting in on the joke.

Trump supporters started getting roasted hardcore.

Pretty much, Kurt. Pretty much.

Woman Captures Instance Of Catcalling On Video During A Walk–Uploads Online For All To See

A woman in Kallangur, Australia, has been getting harassed by the same old creep for months, and finally decide to do something about it.

While her husband waited on a street corner, she walked by the neighborhood lech, knowing he would likely give her a hard time again. She had her camera ready, according to the Daily Mail, who spoke with the unidentified woman after footage of the altercation went viral.

As she walks by him, the man seems to say, “Nice set of boobs you’ve got,” seemingly out of nowhere.

At that she turns and tells him she just recorded him talking about her breasts, and he suddenly tries to act like they’re having a  normal conversation.

“How are you?” he asks. “Good? Your husband’s on the corner, isn’t he?”

“I just videoed you saying that, d***head,” she responds.

“Oh, sorry,” he says.

“I’m going to take it to the police. K**bhead,” she says. In text it looks angrier than when she actually says it. She sounds nervous and uncomfortable to be confronting the guy who has been harassing her.

And that’s what she told the Daily Mail, saying it was extremely difficult to film him.

“I was shaking. I’m not a soft person,” she said. “I couldn’t even speak properly. You could tell in my voice I was really nervous. I was frightened.”

“He was so stupid he didn’t realise I was videoing him,” she added. “It’s worse that he’s an older man and you’d think that he’d know better. You’d expect a 12-year-old child to say something silly like that.”

The woman’s husband wrote a post on Facebook, according to Indy 100, saying that if other women recognize this guy they should come forward.

Barack Obama Tweeted His Own Biden-Obama Meme For The Former VP's Birthday

So much so that Obama even joked about the special relationship he shares with Joe before awarding Biden the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

And it was just in time for the former Vice President’s birthday.

Twitter absolutely loved the post and gave Biden some Happy Birthday wishes of their own.

Others were just stunned that Obama created a meme.

For some, the tweet was a sign of true friendship, a bond that stands the test of time.

Americans Get Their First Look At K-Pop Group BTS–And They Like What They See

If you’re a longtime BTS fan, your hipster moment has finally arrived.

The Korean pop boy band supergroup performed at this year’s AMAs and basically stole the show.

Major media outlets were going gaga for the band’s performance.

And it wasn’t long before people were mimicking their moves, either.

But for fans of the band, who probably got eye-rolls from their pals who “aren’t into K-Pop,” they knew BTS was going to crush it before they ever even took the stage.

Their show also earned them a bunch of new fans as well.

Also Twitter was geeking out over their dance skills.

If you didn’t see their performance you can check it out here:

Conservatives Protest Starbucks' Newest Holiday Cups, And It's Not About Jesus This Time

It’s just not the holiday season without a Starbucks cup controversy.

This year, conservatives are pointing out a very small detail of the current Starbucks cup design:

You see those two hands, top left? Well, the Christian right is CONVINCED those hands belong to lesbians and that the cups are pushing a gay agenda.

Oddly enough, Buzzfeed News seems to be responsible for drawing attention to this.

After Starbucks released a video featuring a lesbian couple…

…people happily tweeted that they believed the hand-holders on the cups are the lesbians from the ad:

Guess we will see how this controversy evolves over the holiday season.

Husband Learns He's At An Instagram-Famous Hotel, Stages Ridiculous Photo Shoot

Imgur user Gilbert Jasono recently visited the luxury resort Ponta dos Ganchos in Brazil for his honeymoon. While there, his wife informed him that the resort is popular with Brazilian Instagram models.

So while there, he decided to look through their Instagram accounts and painstakingly recreate their photos. The results? Magical.

Yes, he spent his honeymoon adding monochrome filters to these excellent modelling shots.

This man sacrificed precious vacation time for our amusement.

And we think it was worth it.

There were plenty of beach shots, obviously.

And one on a tree bench.

This is the greatest thing ever.

Woman Gets Punched In The Face For Asking Man To Stop Manspreading

In New York City, riding the subway is a fact of life for most commuters. Sometimes, however, that means sharing a train with some questionable characters. For instance, Sam Saia was on her way to work when the man next to her began “manspreading,” that much-loathed practice of opening his legs to take up more than his fair share of space.

Since he was pushing her into the wall, Saia asked the man to stop. He responded by punching her in the face.

After the man attacked her, several bystanders jumped in and confronted him.

One video shows another passenger holding the assailant’s arms down and demanding he get off at the next stop:

After the incident, Saia attempted to file a report at the New York Police Department’s 17th precinct, but, once there, she was passed off to the Transit District 34 headquarters. The headquarters then told her that filing a report with them would be a waste of time since she could do so at any precinct (confusing), so she decided to take matters into her own hands.

Saia commented to the Daily News:

I said to myself, ‘OK, I’ll just blow it up on social media. I’m here doing what the police are supposed to do. I just want awareness and I want us to be safe.

People shared Saia’s Facebook post over 1,200 times before it was removed, presumably due to the internal inquiry initiated by the New York Police Department. Her words online have brought widespread awareness to the issue — and connected her with the bystander who took the video.

On Friday, Saia posted on Facebook:

The internet can be a beautiful thing!

Male Praying Mantis Continues Having Sex After Getting Decapitated–And We're Enthralled

The Praying mantis is a super freaky looking bug with some very interesting sexual predilections. For instance, cannibalism.

Some female Mantis species bite the head off the male Mantis after he deposits his sperm in her. After is the important part to remember while watching this video from Youtube channel Deep Impact. At about the three minute 30 second mark, you will witness a male mantis getting its head bite off—and still being DTF afterwards.

As you can see, he has no head. Yet he persists.

According to the narrtor, the nerves in the Mantis’ abdomen are controlling its body at this point. He doesn’t really need a head to get the job done, so to speak. He’s just following his heart!

Look, this is pretty disturbing, but don’t let it poison you against the Praying Mantis forever. They’re actually pretty cool bugs, with lots of gorgeous varieties:

Just don’t take one home from the bar.

Kid Supposedly Ruins $1,000 Worth Of Makeup At Sephora, Twitter Freaks Out

I don’t walk inside Sephora, mostly because the prices of everything in there scares me. I still, unfortunately, go by childhood logic where I think that the bigger something is, the more it should cost. So when I see someone walking out of Sephora with a tiny bag in their hands and a receipt for $ 80, I get a teensy bit of anxiety.

So I make sure if I ever am dragged into one of those stores, I walk on tiptoes, such is my respect for the cosmetics in Sephora and their prices.

Which is why this story of a child who was left unattended in the “try-out” section of the popular makeup franchise gives me palpitations.

And it looks like I’m not the only one.

Beauty industry employees weighed in on the type of monstrous parent that would allow their child to do such a thing.

And parents even commented saying that other folks need to step up and make sure their children aren’t being destructive little tyrants.

It eventually sparked a conversation about teaching children basic manners, and whether or not it was such a big deal in the first place that the kid destroyed the makeup.

For the most part, though, people were angry.

What do you think? Are makeup lovers over exaggerating? Or does this kid need to learn a valuable lesson in not destroying things that don’t belong to them?
