Someone Is Pranking Classmates With A Giant Pencil And It's Hilarious

Senior pranks are one of the staples of American colleges. While the biggest ones, like pretending to crash a car into the side of a building, are typically saved for the end of the year, individual students take it upon themselves to pull off smaller tricks throughout their time at school.

Take Twitter user @OscareWilde as an example. Several years ago, they were gifted one of those massive pencils that are absolutely useless for anything other than a gag gift. Unsurprisingly, it gathered dust in a closest for years while they tried to find a use for it.

One day, the perfect idea came to mind. As @OscareWilde recently explained in a hilarious Twitter thread, they decided to use the pencil to pry on some of the most vulnerable people at any college—students who had forgotten their pens and dared to ask to borrow one. The thread begins…

The Twitter user explained the idea behind their prank…

image

Surprisingly, only a few people have fallen victim to this brilliant ruse.

image

@OscareWilde explains how the situation has gone down the three times they’ve been able to find a victim.

image

Their response is always pure gold.

But even after all of this fanfare, the three people have no choice but to accept.

image

While @OscareWilde‘s prank is hilarious, school pranks only ever get better the more people are involved. These students decided to meme their principal after he told them they couldn’t do a prank.

While students at Cumberland High School in Wisconsin decided to pull off a prank that was so convincing, even the police department fell for it.

It’s not a school prank without wrapping something in cling wrap.

A Little Girl Left Her Stuffed Animal At An Airport And It Went On Quite An Adventure

A Little Girl Left Her Stuffed Animal At An Airport And It Went On Quite An Adventure

Remember your beloved stuffed animal, the one you slept with, and dressed up, and dragged around everywhere until it basically disintegrated? Perhaps it survived your childhood and still sits on a shelf, as a beloved reminder of a more innocent time. Or maybe you lost it somewhere, and it was never returned. That’s what happened to my poor stuffed Lamby. Yes, it was a stuffed lamb, who I still think about occasionally. Lamby, where are you?!

I’ll never know. One little girl named Gussie was saved from this devastation after leaving her favorite stuffed animal at the Norfolk Airport. Her mother, Kelly Bridges, wrote on Facebook that not only did the airport find the stuff animal, Cookie Dough, they made Gussie a special surprise: a little book showing all its adventures out on the town.

Bridges wrote: “Guys…Gussie lost her ‘Cookie Dough’ favorite stuffed animal at the airport last week. I called the airport to let them know, and they called us later to say they found it! She went to pick it up today and they gave her this book and I about cried. Norfolk International Airport, you all are awesome.”

The booklet showed Gussie not only that it was ok for her to lose her stuffed animal, but that Cookie Dough was having the time of its life.

image

It met some stuffed friends, checked the weather, and sampled some coveted airport merch:

image

Then, Cookie Dough went for a spin in a very nice car, and even got to ride on the dashboard, though it missed Gussie the whole time.

image

Cookie Dough even tested out some bigger cars, and got all dressed up for the job. It even met some really nice members of the rescue squad.

image
image

Cookie Dough got recruited to work as a police bear for a day, which seems like a big responsibility.

image

And even got to drive some fancy, airport-only vehicles:

image

Cookie Dough learned how to self-check for a flight, which, as we all know, is a very important skill:

image

Cookie Dough also adventured in ways a kid definitely shouldn’t. Stuffed animals have more leeway for stunts, though.

image

And Cookie Dough got snacks!

image

The stuffed dog took a really extensive tour of all the airport areas most of us never get to see:

image

Then almost got recruited again, this time for a different role:

image

But it was finally time to say goodbye to all its new friends and go home to Gussie:

image

Like everybody, Cookie Dough did experience some down time at the airport, but waiting around is part of the experience.

image

The booklet was made specifically by the Norfolk Airport Police, which makes me think that this may be the safest airport in America.

They seem to have a lot of time on their hands:

image

And they used it to make one little girl very, very happy:

image

But Cookie Dough: don’t go wandering aimlessly again.

Watch a Magician Blow Drake's Mind With Just a Lollipop

While it might seem that Drake is untouchable following the release of his album Scorpion, which currently claims seven of the top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart — breaking a record held by The Beatles — and crossed the one billion streams mark in less than one week, it’s nice to know that something as simple as a magic trick can bring the rapper down to Earth.

Magician Julius Dein ran into Drake in London, and proceeded to blow his mind with just a lollipop. Luckily for everyone, the moment and Drake’s reaction was captured on video. After asking Drake to name his favorite super hero (it’s Batman BTW), Julius placed the aforementioned lollipop in his mouth.

Drake was clearly confused when he was asked to remove the lollipop from the magic-loving stranger’s mouth, asking “Why?” several times, but he finally did and the initial awkwardness was definitely worth it. In an instant, Julius transformed the candy into the shape of the caped crusader and Drake is seriously impressed.

However, this is not the first time Drake has been visibly shaken by a magic trick. In 2016, Drake, along with Steph Curry and Dave Chapelle, watched David Blaine perform his famous frog trick — which is literally the magician throwing up an amphibian into a glass of water. Once again, the rapper’s reaction is priceless.

Dictionary.com Just Roasted Kylie Jenner For Being Called A 'Self-Made' Woman

Dictionary.com Just Roasted Kylie Jenner For Being Called A 'Self-Made' Woman

At 20 years old, I was finally getting my braces taken off and changing college majors. Kylie Jenner, at 20, became pregnant with Travis Scott, delivered baby Stormi, and became a billionaire.

I was worrying about whether or not I’d be able to afford gas for my ’97 Ford Taurus when prices skyrocketed to over $ 4 a gallon. Meanwhile, Jenner is getting written up in Forbes magazine.

The social-media, famous-for-being-famous juggernaut managed to leverage her glammed-out plastic surgery #goals and Kardashian legacy to build a wildly successful cosmetics business worth a whopping $ 900 million fortune.

And she did it all in less than 3 years. That’s some serious money management from someone so young.

The financial magazine was so impressed with Kylie’s success in business that they listed her as number 27 in a profile on “America’s Women Billionaires,” where they covered America’s Richest Self-Made women.

They made it a point to call Kylie’s success “self-made” and said that she’s on track to become the youngest woman to ever become a billionaire.

But some people are having a hard time swallowing the “self-made” portion of that headline.

There’s a saying that a friend of mine uses for people who believe they are self-made but forget that their life of privilege and the family they were born into played a huge part in their success. It’s that they were born on third-base but believe they worked just as hard to make it to home as the person who fought to get up to bat in the first place.

I’d imagine that that’s why a lot of people are having some difficulty accepting the claim that Jenner is a “self-made” billionaire.

But there are some Twitter users who think that Dictionary.com’s salty response was uncalled for and just an instance of jealous pettiness that diminishes the success of the young cosmetics mogul.

They think that those “hating” on Jenner should take a page out of her book and become a “self-made billionaire” just like her.

But there were others who pointed out that Jenner had obvious advantages not afforded to everyone else, and there are plenty.

To show just how astronomical Jenner’s success is, someone pointed out some other notably wealthy women in the US.

That’s right, Kylie Jenner has more than doubled Beyonce’s net worth and has surpassed her older sister Kim, who was largely responsible for the family’s super stardom.

Her success has flabbergasted many people online.

Some tried to break down just how Jenner and the Kardashian sisters secured their fortunes.

While others were less concerned with how the sisters made their money and more concerned with how to secure some for themselves:

Must be nice to be a self-made billionaire.

Free Slurpee Day 2018 Is Coming So Prepare Your Body

With heat waves ripping across the U.S., even us self-professed lovers of summer have been finding ourselves longing for a crisp autumn day. This Wednesday, however, we’ll all have at least one reason to be glad it’s still the middle of July: 7-Eleven’s annual Free Slurpee Day returns for 2018!

July 11th (a.k.a. 7/11) is of course 7-Eleven’s golden day, and what better way to celebrate than by blessing us with complimentary, ice-cold slushies in the midst of this sweltering heat?

“Free Slurpee day may be the most anticipated day of the year for millions of 7‑Eleven customers and new customers alike,” Raj Kapoor, 7‑Eleven’s senior vice president said in a press release. “7‑Eleven Day is a celebration, not only of our birthday, but more importantly, of our customers.”

Unfortunately, this is not bring-your-own-cup day so the free frozen concoction only comes in a small size — but don’t be afraid to treat yourself to an upgrade.

Unsurprisingly, Slurpee fans are anxiously awaiting the occasion.

For some of us, Free Slurpee Day is a beacon of hope in this grim existence that is 2018.

Others would even go so far as to call it a bonafide national holiday.

image

Meanwhile, some of us are just interested in maximizing our efficiency in pursuit of free stuff.

For the true Slurpee addicts out there, there’s even more reason to rejoice. 7-Eleven is adding some insane new flavors.

You can claim your free small Slurpee at participating 7 Eleven locations from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. While you’re at it grab a Big Bite hot dog, which will be sold for $ 1 in honor of the day.

So get excited and prepare your bod for the sugar rush. When few things in life are truly free, we can always depend on 7-Eleven to bestow us with this yearly gift.

This Little Kid Is Blowing Everyone Away With His Incredibly Realistic Drawings

A young artist named Kareem Waris is going viral right now for his unbelievable photorealistic drawings. Waris has been making art for years and years—but he’s only 11.

DD News reports that Waris began drawing when he was six, and was considered a “professional” by the age of eight, selling drawings from his small studio in Lagos, Nigeria. He says his artistic genre is “hyper-realism,” which you can see in the attention to detail on every subject.

Photos of his work have been circulating on Twitter, where he’s being celebrated for his skill.

image
image
image

Waris comes from a very poor neighborhood, and has seen his family and community struggling to make ends meet.

Many kids would not be selling their art at his age, even if it were anywhere as good, but Waris does so in part to support his family. He tried to express some of that in this piece, “Daily Bread.”

image

“The inspiration behind it is that something going on around me, especially my family. The sweat on it symbolizes hard work and struggling. And the spoon symbolizes food,” he said.

Everybody in my society has little now, or my streets, they struggle, struggle, they sweat for their eats.”

But Waris also has a very developed artistic philosophy for an 11-year-old.

“I try to focus on it to get the detail in the picture and in the artwork too. And in the artwork was painting. And in the picture will be in the artwork that anybody sees it, possibly symbolize photo,” he told DD News.

Waris became so well-known in Nigeria, he was commissioned to make a drawing of French president Emmanuel Macron:

And then he got to meet him:

Waris wants to continue his work, and eventually become an artist whose work is show in galleries and museums around the world. And the Internet really wants that to happen, too:

Though some are a bit jealous:

He may be young, but to get this good at his work in difficult circumstances, Waris has worked hard.

We’re all looking forward to his first museum exhibition.

A Vegan Discovered That Mayo Has Eggs In It At The Worst Possible Moment

Folks like to mock vegans, probably because a lot of them are pretty preachy about their lifestyle. But I gotta give it up to anyone who is strongly committed to their moral compassing, especially when that compass points them away from delicious, delicious cheese.

It’s not that easy to eat vegan in this world, especially if you want to eat at a fast food franchise or anywhere affordable. So, this story of a woman who faced vegan-defeat at a Subway sandwich shop is both funny and tragic.

A Subway worker named Gabriel Caulfield-Bohlken wrote about their encounter with a confused vegan on Facebook, and Reddit user u/Gresh66 also shared this tale on the Jokes subreddit, though it’s more like a Greek tragedy:

So I work at Subway, yesterday I had a chick come in, she told me she wanted a Veggie Delight. As I went to get the bread she asked me if I could change my gloves cause she was vegan and I had been handling meat. I did that, no problem, perfectly reasonable request. I get her bread, toast it and put all the veggies she wants on it, I start to wrap up her sandwich when she says, “can I get some mayo?”

I look at her, she’s looking at me, I pick up the mayo, I’m waiting for her to be like haha jk.

Nothing.

Me: “You know mayonnaise has eggs in it right?”

THIS. GIRL. JUST. STOOD. THERE. SILENT.

She stood there for a second.

V: “N-no it doesn’t, I get mayo every time, are you sure?”

Me: “Yes ma’am, mayo has egg whites in it.”

I felt so horrible, she stood there with such a distraught and defeated face, I had shattered this poor girl’s world.

I had a couple people waiting so I had to get this lady out of here.

Me: “Would you like the mayo on it ma’am?”

V: “Sure, go ahead.”

She sounded so done, so defeated,

So I gave her her mayo, wrapped her sandwich up and charged her for her sandwich, she was silent the whole time. She took her sandwich and started walking out.

Me: “Thank you for coming, have a nice day!”

She just looked at me, sighed, “yea, I’ll try” and walked out.

And that’s the story of how I taught a vegan that mayonnaise is, in fact, not vegan.

Damn. I feel that. She’s trying so hard to stick to her beliefs, and she thinks she’s found this delicious vegan workaround. Yum! Mayo is so good! And it’s vegan? Wow.

Then BAM, reality check. All those days she went to bed feeling satisfied and successfully vegan, only to find out it was all a lie. That would be shattering. But, for the record, they do make a vegan mayonnaise, and it’s actually pretty good:

It just doesn’t seem like they have it at Subway.

Commenters are very into this story, but what’s funny about it is that it seems like a lot of people have no freaking clue what’s in mayonnaise:

People don’t know anything about anything, actually:

I’m actually scared for humanity:

But at least a few people appreciated the server’s honesty. Obviously, this girl had gone through a lot of Subway workers who were not so kind:

Or maybe they just had no idea what’s in mayo either? Seems to be a common problem.

Other vegans also weighed in to say they understood the woman’s reaction completely.

Hopefully she rallied and Googled “vegan mayonnaise” for those homemade sammies. We all deserve a little flavor.
