Chrissy Teigen Just Found Out It's Now 'Illegal' For Donald Trump To Block Twitter Users

A huge reason why the constitution exists along with our rights in that constitution is to prevent the government from having too much power over the people.

Our ability to criticize the government and political figures however and whenever we want, and making sure they hear those criticisms and complaints is what makes America what it is.

An ever-growing popular form of communication is social media, a platform that Donald Trump used to his great advantage, basically trolling people online to get into the White House.

The thing about the internet is that you’re basically connected to the rest of the world, so if you have active profiles in your name, that means people can find you on those mediums and say pretty much anything you want to them. If you don’t like what they have to say though, you can block them and create a safe space for yourself.

But because he’s the President and all, and a public figure in a civil service position, the Supreme Court has ruled that he can’t block people from tweeting at him online without violating the First Amendment.

Federal District Court Judge Naomi Reice ruled that because Trump’s @realdonaldtrump account has been given access to Dan Scavino, White House social media director, and they “exert governmental control over certain aspects” of the account, that Trump cannot block anyone from following the account.

“The viewpoint-based exclusion of the individual plaintiffs from that designated public forum is proscribed by the First Amendment and cannot be justified by the president’s personal First Amendment interests,” Buchwald wrote

Although Judge Buchwald hasn’t expressly ordered Donald Trump from unblocking the accounts he has already banned from following him and viewing his tweets, Jameel Jaffer, the Knight First Amendment Institute’s executive director says that it goes without saying that Trump should do the “right thing” and unblock everyone from his account.

“The position the Trump administration is taking is that the president is entitled to block people, and that the court lacks the ability to order him to do otherwise. The right thing for the president and his social media director to do would be to log into the president’s account and unblock everyone who has been blocked on the basis of viewpoint,” Jaffer said.

A spokeswoman for the Justice department has said that they “disagree” with the court’s decision and are contemplating their next move.

She has a long and storied Twitter career of calling Trump out on the social media platform.

Which, after 9 years, finally came to a head when Teigen sent out this tweet.

Apparently all of her other insults, clapbacks, and shutdowns didn’t hurt Trump as much as this tweet. Because it’s the one that finally caused him to block her.

Teigen found the entire situation hilarious, because Trump used a staunchly anti-Liberal platform to help get him elected, and, as we all know, liberals are often ridiculed for wanting “safe spaces”.

Teigen, like everyone else, saw the news that Trump’s blocking of people on Twitter was directly ruled as a violation of the First Amendment, so she offered up this Tweet in response.

Looks like she’s going to go back to her trolling ways, and there really isn’t anything the President can do about it, unless he wants to violate the very constitution he made an oath to uphold to the American people.

And people are very excited.

Even if Teigen reshot and re-uploaded the video for unbeknownst reasons (aka John being the in background and not wanting to be embroiled in any messy politic stuff).

Looks like the Teigen-Trump Twitter drama is back on, people. (source: nytimes)

Donald Trump Is Reportedly Both 'Obsessed' With And 'Terrified' Of Sharks

Okay, so adult film star Stormy Daniels alleges she slept with Donald Trump while he was married to Melania Trump. She gave a full account of the experience according to her to In Touch Weekly, and it’s about as depressing as you can imagine. The salaciousness isn’t even terribly salacious!

But there is one part of Daniels’ account that people are loving.

The man sitting in the White House is allegedly really, really scared of sharks:

The second time Daniels met Trump, she claims he was watching Shark Week on the television. The conversation turned to the ocean’s deadly predator.

The Donald reportedly told her, “I donate to all these charities and I would never donate to any charity that helps sharks. I hope all the sharks die.”

“He was like riveted. He was like obsessed. It’s so strange, I know,” said Daniels.

Sharks are very scary, but humans are far more dangerous to to them than they are to us. In fact, shark species have been decimated by human shark-hunting ever since the film Jaws was released and sacred people right out of the water. It’s a pretty serious problem for the ocean eco-system—not that Trump gives a crap about the Earth or logical thinking.

People are very interested in his very specific and unnecessary phobia:

It also turns out that Trump’s Twitter account has lot of shark hate in it, too:

He is haunted by sharks at every turn—he even tied them in with the threat of nuclear war at one point? Maybe if we tell Trump that sharks will get him if he starts a nuclear war, it’ll hold him back.

One last fun tidbit is that Trump allegedly told Daniels that he’s afraid if he cuts his hair, he’ll lose all his power:

That could have been a joke, but who knows at this point.

This Third Grader's Plan For Dealing With Donald Trump Has The Internet Divided

Adults aren’t very good at dealing with their problems, but third graders apparently have it all figured out. Kelly Cohen, a reporter for NBC Washington, recently took to Twitter to share a piece of homework reportedly from one of her friend’s third grade students.

You can probably guess why she had it hanging in her apartment…

Some users weren’t happy with the third grader’s perception of Africa.

While some pinned the blame on the media.

Others focused on other aspects of the homework.

People Are Convinced Donald Trump Pretended To Be His Secretary In A Bizarre 1992 Letter

Back in 1992, a woman claiming to be Donald Trump’s secretary, going by the name of Carolin Gallego, wrote into the New Yorkmagazine, defending Trump against an article by one of the magazine’s writers, Julie Baumgold.

The letter recently resurfaced online because people are convinced it was written by the now-President Trump. Why? Let’s just say that it’s in his style…

Just look at that last sentence. It’s worth noting that Trump’s assistant for years was a woman named Norma Foerderer. She retired in 2005 and was replaced by Rhona Graff.

To top it off, Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen told the Washingtonian that he doesn’t recognize the name as someone who had worked for Trump.

This wouldn’t be the first time Trump has pretended to be someone else. In 2016 the Washington Postreported that Trump would call media outlets under the names “John Miller” and “John Barron,” to give quotes and insights about himself. In 1990, Trump testified that he used those names “on occasion.”

Twitter seems convinced, though.

Donald Trump Jr. Just Gave Up His Secret Service Protection, And People Have Questions

Donald Trump Jr. no longer wants Secret Service protection, sources confirmed on Monday. What hasn’t been confirmed is why.

The Secret Service would not confirm or deny the request by Trump Jr. A spokesperson merely said:

“To ensure the safety and security of our protectees and their families we will not confirm who is currently receiving Secret Service protection.”

Jonathan Wackrow, a former member of President Barack Obama’s detail, expressed his concern at the decision:

“In today’s global risk environment, waiving this detail poses great danger to him and to his family. What he is becoming potentially is a target of opportunity. People who want to lash out at the president are going to seek that path of least resistance. This decision is negligent.”

So, then, why did Don Jr. opt out of Secret Service protection?

Some pointed to the fact that both he and Kellyanne Conway announced they’d give up USSS protection on the same day…

The same day it was revealed that Paul Manafort had been wiretapped no less…

Fox News speculated Don Jr.’s decision was about saving taxpayer money…

But Twitter wasn’t buying it…

While secret service protection for adult children of a president is automatically provided, they are legally allowed to turn down that protection, as Ron Reagan did during his father’s second term.

Twitter Comedian Digs Up A Bunch Of Racist Tweets From Donald Trump Dating Back To 2013

A Twitter user posted some really disgusting old Tweets from — you guessed it — none other than 45:

Let’s take a closer look at these.

Don’t got to this original tweeter’s profile. Seriously. You’ll want to break something.

This “editorial” is what we like to call “Completely Made Up To Get Attention”:

And, of course, don’t forget about his wish to reinstate the death penalty in New York specifically for the Central Park Five, a group of teenagers (four black, one latinx) who were exonerated in the rape of a white banker by a DNA test in 2002 after their 1989 conviction.

Donald Trump is a white supremacist. There are no other words for it. And people like @Freeyourmindkid want to make sure the world knows.

Donald Trump Wore A Mismatched Suit And Twitter Dragged Him

The President of the United States has, in the past month, considered cutting the refugee cap to the lowest level a president has ever set, seemingly equated counter-protestors with actual white supremacists, and publicly went back and forth over whether he planned to end DACA. People have lots of issues with all of that, but right now, let’s talk about fashion. Specifically—did Donald Trump wear a mismatched suit to his meeting with Sen. Tim Scott?

It appears he did, unless it’s some really weird trick of the light. Why? How? Doesn’t the White House have employees whose job is to tell the president “don’t go out like that?”

And of course, even Barack Obama, the president GQ probably made in a lab, wore a tan suit once.

By the way, as Someecards‘s Orli Matlow points out, it’s kind of nice that we’re having this dumb fashion conversation about a male politician, right?

Donald Trump Jr. Makes Offensive Tweet During Irma Emergency Announcement

Hurricane Harvey has devastated Houston. Hurricane Irma has flattened whole islands in the Caribbean, blasted the American territories of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, and could be just the third Category Five hurricane in history to strike the American mainland.

Florida Governor Rick Scott is making it clear that evacuation orders are not to be ignored.

Important stuff, passionately delivered. Yes, the interpreter is a little distracting, possibly because the camera was closer to him than it was to the Governor.

Here’s a reasonable dialogue about exactly that:

Is anyone surprised that Donald Trump Jr. tweeted something insensitive?

Junior got slammed in the rich guy equivalent of a junior high school locker and never came out. Here’s Hilary Duff’s 2004 hit ‘Haters’ (written about Lindsay Lohan, OBVS) for a quick study on just how disconnected Donny is from the present situation.

Kim Kardashian Just Completely Destroyed Donald Trump

Although Kim K. hasn’t really been outspoken about Trump’s presidency thus far, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t hold some strong opinions on the man. I mean, the Kardashian name isn’t exactly synonymous with incisive political commentary

Ouch. That wasn’t all though.

Kardashian also talked about the escalation of violence as a defining characteristic of Trump’s current term:

Kim also commented on how seriously she takes commenting on political issues and explains why she doesn’t do it often.

When asked if she follows Trump on Twitter, Kim simply responded that she does not, but added, “I follow Obama though.”

Poster Featuring Martin Luther King Jr. And Donald Trump Takes Internet By Storm

[unable to retrieve full-text content]

The thought-provoking image is by a Haitian artist.

With the recent reemergence of emboldened hate groups spewing their rhetoric all over public forums online and in society, many are drawing parallels to the civil rights era of the 1950s and 60s.

Much of the blame for the recent rise in overt racism has been put on President Trump, who, after the deadly protest in Charlottesville, was hesitant to denounce the racist and white nationalist fringe groups responsible, and instead blamed both sides.

So who better to silence Trump than famed civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.:

The powerful image had many wondering who the artist was:

It turns out the artwork is by Haitian artist Watson Mere, and is entitled My Brother’s Keeper:

Incredibly enough, Mere’s artwork is all done on Microsoft Paint, and, according to his website, he “finds inspiration from the love, struggles, happiness, and pain of the people of the African diaspora. Each piece is designed to spark the viewer’s imagination as to interpret the work of art that stands before them. With the screen as his canvas and the mouse as his “brush,” Watson meticulously transforms social issues like race, poverty, and religion into extraordinarily rare and unique works of art. This is his passion.”

You can see some of Mere’s artwork in this video:

And while some didn’t care for the wording of the tweet, they still believed the image was worth sharing:

Perhaps there’s still hope:
