Guy Accidentally Finds Out Wife Named Their Son After Her First Love

Letting go of the past is tough, especially when it involves an event or person who affected you on a deeply emotional level.

And when your relationship with that person comes to an end and you’re feeling rejected, it can hurt a lot.

There’s a reason why the most popular songs are all about heartbreak. It’s because we all know the feeling. Heck, even if you never went through a particularly painful breakup, you can still imagine what it would be like, because the longing for a significant other is a feeling that’s so deeply ingrained in pretty much everyone.

Now I know this might comes as a shock, but believe it or not, some people start new relationships with people even when they’re not over another person.

In fact, they’ll keep going in a new relationship even when they’re secretly wishing they can be back with their ex! The nerve, right? As common as this reality of life is,  there are some people who take their obsession with their ex way too far. Like this woman who seemingly thought she would be slick and name the son she had with her new man after her first love.

The worst part? The guy had no idea and found out in probably the worst way possible.

Reddit user BillNyes-InnerThigh dished out how the unfortunate discover occurred in Reddit’s Relationship Advice subreddit asking fellow internet peeps for some advice on how to proceed with this shocking discovery.

But there are some things that make this particular discovery somehow even worse. Like the fact that his wife’s ex’s name is a really unique one.

So it’s not like something you can delude yourself into thinking it’s a common name and a total coincidence.

Shockingly enough, it’s a common occurrence for people who are still obsessed with their ex to name their kid after them. Like this dude’s brother-in-law.

And there was this woman’s mother who gave her daughter the effeminate version of her ex’s name and then named her son this dude’s middle name.

OP promised to update the good people of Reddit once he confronts his wife about the name.

There were some people who began coming up with worst case scenarios.

While others tried to find a way to humanize his wife in this situation.

Not like the fact that they died would make it OK, but it does, in a morbid way, make it not as bad.

However, OP doesn’t think that this is the case.

Others came up with a not-so-traumatizing way for the kid to change his name.

Although when he gets older and learns the truth, it might mess him up.

This Guy Live-Tweeted His Little Brother's First Date And It's Too Pure

25-year-old Kinglsey Morgan has gone viral for his tweets about his 16-year-old brother Keneil’s date with his crush. It may be the most wholesome story of teen romance you’ve ever read, and it will also make you hungry.

Morgan was interviewed by Blavity about this incredibly sweet story of brotherly love, telling them, “We have a very close relationship. He considers me his role model and we do everything together. I study with him, we swap stories, he teaches me the latest dance moves in Jamaica, we cook together, go to the movies together — like I said, everything. I’m literally his credible source for confirming or denying anything he sees on the internet; even something as simple as a prank, he seeks my affirmation that it was indeed a prank.”

He also asked his brother to do the lion’s share of the work for his date with his crush. Morgan agreed to cook dinner for the family, and even made the girl’s favorite dish.

Which sounds absolutely delicious:

Even dad got in on the action, and put on some fun music for the pair as Morgan was working in the kitchen.

But Morgan finally caught a pic of the adorable couple:

And it went over well with the guest of honor:

Hi lil’ bro is taking things slow:

But it seems like his date likes that about him:

People are really impressed that Morgan went to so much trouble to help his brother out and support him:

And they’re wondering if Morgan might make them some curried chicken and rice:

Some people are imagining what their siblings would have done in his place, and it’s definitely not as nice:

Everyone is incredibly invested in this budding relationship, and Morgan has promised updates:

Look, even if it doesn’t work out between these two young lovebirds, Keneil is learning how to do romance right. Just cook them their favorite meal. Better yet, make your brother do it.

People Are Losing It Over Coat Meghan Markle Just Wore To Her First Royal Engagement

Soon-to-be Princess Meghan Markle made a a dazzling debut on the world stage this week.

Prince Harry and his fiancée made their first official appearance together in the UK, meeting a community that is “very special” to the Prince. The couple did their inaugural royal walkabout through Nottingham, then attended a World AIDS Day event.

Markle charmed people with her glowing smile and warm enthusiasm — and her chic coat:

Later, they visited the Nottingham academy, where they watched young actors perform an improvised play about a “fictional” young couple going public with their secret romance. One of the actors, 19-year-old Taynika Jarrett-Bennett, said, “We wanted to make it a fun play and involve the royals.”

And Markle won over the cast when she complimented their performance.

And so a new royal chapter begins. We think Princess Diana would be proud.

Americans Get Their First Look At K-Pop Group BTS–And They Like What They See

If you’re a longtime BTS fan, your hipster moment has finally arrived.

The Korean pop boy band supergroup performed at this year’s AMAs and basically stole the show.

Major media outlets were going gaga for the band’s performance.

And it wasn’t long before people were mimicking their moves, either.

But for fans of the band, who probably got eye-rolls from their pals who “aren’t into K-Pop,” they knew BTS was going to crush it before they ever even took the stage.

Their show also earned them a bunch of new fans as well.

Also Twitter was geeking out over their dance skills.

If you didn’t see their performance you can check it out here:

Boston News Reporter Shares First Photos Of Vegas Terrorist's Arsenal Of Weapons

Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock’s horrific act of mass murder has yielded pain, sorrow and many many unanswered questions.

On Tuesday, we got a bit more information, as the first images of the arsenal of weapons assembled by the gunman emerged online.

Jacqui Heinrich, a Boston reporter for FOX 25 TV shared an exclusive first look at some of Paddock’s guns on Twitter:

Since then, more images have trickled out from the horrific scene of the crime:

Reports indicate that at least 23 firearms, some ammo, a bipod, optics, and a hammer — that was most likely used to smash out the windows — were strewn about the luxury room, which towered 32 floors above the concert venue, where 58 innocents died and 489 people were injured.

In addition, authorities recovered 19 firearms plus explosives and several thousand rounds of ammunition from Paddock’s home in Mesquite, Nevada and found several pounds of ammonium nitrate, which is used to make explosives, in Paddock’s car.

Law enforcement officials had hoped to learn more about Paddock’s motives from his girlfriend, Marilou Danley, who has returned from The Philippines and is cooperating with the investigation. In a statement she said that Paddock “never said anything to me, or took any action that I was aware of, that I understood in any way to be a warning that something horrible like this was going to happen.”

“It never occurred to me in any way whatsoever that he was planning violence against anyone.”

Survey Finds The Most Successful First Dates Involve Fried Chicken

If you really want a first date to go well, maybe suggest getting fried chicken together. It might be greasy, but according to a survey by the dating app Hinge, suggesting a fried chicken joint is the restaurant cuisine most likely to lead to a date.

In general, people thought that the best overall date idea was getting drinks. Interestingly, Hinge users particularly loved Bloody Mary’s, though you’d think all that garlic would make it a date drink to avoid! But 24 percent of Hinge users loved the idea of grabbing fried chicken for a first date. Watch out, though, because apparently 23 percent of Hinge users would rather grab vegan food. Hinge users: apparently eclectic!

The app even breaks down the most and least successful locations for a first date by major city—San Francisco daters loved going to Golden Gate Park, for instance, but turned their noses up at the cocktail bar Novela (their loss, it looks really cute).

You can see dating advice for the city near you over at Hinge’s website.

No promises that any of this will result in you getting married, though it did kind of make me want to marry a bucket of fried chicken.

No One Can Solve This Math Question Given To First Graders In Singapore

As if we needed yet another reminder that we’re terrible at math, an exam question given to first graders in Singapore has the Internet scratching their collective heads. “Study the number pattern. Fill in the missing numbers,” the instructions read.

The question is a number problem, with a circle split in four with different numbers in each section. Around the sides are four empty circles, with another circle in the middle of the first circle. The questions asks children to fill in the four circles with no numbers so that they total the middle number in all cases.

First graders are supposed to get this?! In all fairness, it’s labelled as a bonus question and probably doesn’t impact the student’s scores all that much. Think you’ve worked it out? Read on when you have, because the answer is below.

Thankfully for us, one user on the forum was able to work it out. According to their explanation, the four circles should be filled with either 1 or 2, depending on how many numbers with more than one digit they touch on either side.

If you got the answer without cheating, you’re officially as smart as a first grader. If you didn’t, feel better knowing that social media didn’t, either.

Twitter Is Not Impressed By Trump's First Easter Egg Roll In The White House

The Annual Easter Egg Roll is a White House tradition that dates back 138 years and draws some 35,000 visitors to the South Lawn each year. Today is the first Easter Egg Roll since Donald Trump became President, and this led some people to have concerns about the running of the event.

Last week, the New York Times reported that President Donald Trump’s administration seemingly forgot about the annual Easter Egg Roll and didn’t put in an order for eggs for quite some time. The company that makes commemorative eggs for the event had to reach out to the President on Twitter to remind them to place their order.

So, how did it actually go? Judging by these tweets, not very well.

Chrissy Teigen And John Legend’s Baby Said Her First Word And It’s Priceless

An example of a perfect animal is a cat. It’s the internet’s mascot. Their combination of silliness and cuddliness makes them the epitome of animalistic excellence.

An example of a perfect couple is the union of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. Seriously, they always look like they’re having an amazing time.

And they have a perfect little baby. I mean seriously, just look at Luna chilling with her bulldog right here.

Cheeks for days, my god.

Luna’s approaching her first birthday, and is currently celebrating with Mama Teigen and Papa Legend in Morocco.

The trip is packed with “firsts” for this little ball of adorableness. Like her first time reading a book without pictures.

And the first time she wore a bow.

First bow!

A post shared by chrissy teigen (@chrissyteigen) on

But most exciting of all: Luna’s first word.

Yes, her first word wasn’t “mama,” or “dada,” but “cat.” Well technically “caa”- but still, it’s pretty awesome. Babies are the best, as are cats. Win-win, am I right?

Nationwide Protests Against Trump's 'Muslim Ban' Start Off Their First Day With A Victory

One day after Trump signed his executive order banning all travel from 7 Muslim-majority countries, citizens around the country flooded their local airports to protest and the ACLU was in court to argue that the executive order was unconstitutional and un-American.

Students, green card holders, and people here on work visas were all advised to not leave the country following the executive order, and people who were on airplanes on their way here were told they couldn’t enter once they landed.

This morning, protesters from all over the country flooded their local airports to express their concerns over the detainment of immigrants and refugees that were previously cleared to enter the country.

Governor Cuomo of New York released a statement in support of the protesters and detained refugees that were in JFK Airport.

The largest taxi union in New York City also voiced their concerns with Trump’s Muslim Ban, reminding him that they’ve been on the receiving end of government sponsored bigotry in the past.

Lawyers flooded JFK Airport to help those being detained.

And while the lawyers were hammering away, citizens in other states made sure to make their voices heard at their airports.

And then there was hope.

It’s worth noting that the stay will not affect people who haven’t already made their way here and that anyone planning on traveling is simply going to be prevented from doing so, as this affects people who were already in the air while the order was signed.

Many celebrities voiced their opinion on Trump’s ban, but some of the strongest voices came from Silicon Valley’s tech CEOs.

Airbnb.

Box.

Quip, a Salesforce company.

Slack.

And Twitter, including a tweet from CRO Jack Dorsey and the official Twitter account.

Netflix, Lyft, Uber, Apple, Google, Tesla, and a host of other companies joined in the condemnation of the grossly un-American order issued by Trump, and they have made it clear that they’re in it for the long haul.

Power to the people.
