Girl Gets Fired From Her Job At Target After Prank Goes Viral

Pranks are the worst, but when executed correctly, they can get you a lot of attention. Bad attention.

Twitter user @Delilah810 found this out the hard way, after her “prank” on her best friend in the parking lot of a Target went viral. In it, she pushed that friend, who is sitting in a shopping cart, into a push. It looks pretty gnarly, but the friend was apparently unscathed:

They look like they’re having a blast, to be fair, but it’s a pretty dangerous thing to do. Darn, I sound old!

@Deliliah810’s tweet was doing pretty well already, but then she added an update:

Wow, no kidding.

She seems chill with it, though. Maybe because she’s managed to maintain her friendship, despite everything:

Though many of @Deliliah810’s fans are just run of the mill Twitter users who love a good parking lot disaster vid, there are also a wholllllle lotta people who work at or once worked at Target, too.

Man, if getting thrown into a push is what happens on a work day, what do Target employees get up to at a barbecue?

But there are plenty of people who are enjoying this story even if they have no personal association with Target.

It’s very meme-able:

And they’re loving her, no matter what she’s done:

Because they hate Target:

Don’t worry, there are plenty of other companies that could use @Delilah810’s skills:

Mom Shares Picture Of Her Daughter On The Beach And Gets Slammed Over Child's Skin

Mom bloggers and Instagram influencers are very popular on social media, but part of the job is receiving a lot of scrutiny for how you’re doing as a parent. One woman just got put through the gauntlet after posting an innocent picture of her kid enjoying a beach day.

This is her daughter Winter (thus, life with Winter):

Winter is more camera shy than her mom. Then there’s the wee babe, Wilde, who has not yet developed the motor functions to crawl away from branding opportunities:

As a mom Instagram model, Jones shares a lot of pic of the kids enjoying surf and sun, but one picture of Winter recently kicked up a controversy. It showed Winter walking along the beach, appearing very tan:

According to Metro.uk, Jones woke up to discover the post had been flagged and removed.

Apparently, the image had been littered with comments about Winter’s skin tone, like, “It’s disgusting to see how dark your daughter’s skin in,” and “Have you heard of suncream? How about you start using it before your kid looks 40 at four. Horrible mother.”

Jones believes the image was flagged because people were disparaging her daughter’s skin. She posted a follow up on Instagram telling the haters to step off:

In the caption she wrote:

The comments were full of supportive people who tan easily:

The feedback was so positive that Jones followed with another pic of Winter having a blast on the beach:

In the caption, Jones says that she’s incredibly grateful for the response, and states that her family is of Aboriginal descent, which is partly of why Winter’s skin tends to tan quickly rather than burn:

“So the past 48 hours has been pretty crazy for me. I didn’t expect to get the response I have from my post. I want to say a huge thankyou for everyone writing to me, I appreciate your support and kind words. It’s lovely to see that majority of people writing to me are against online bullying. In regards to the photo I posted I can totally see both sides of the ballpark now. I saw no problem with the photo I chose to post because there was no inappropriate parts showing, just Winters side profile. I just want to say though that I do respect even the people who have wrote into me disagreeing with my post but I thank you for going about it in a tasteful way and not shaming my child for her skin colour. We are of Aboriginal decent and we are proud of our heritage. I have learnt a lot from this experience and I won’t change the way I post but I will be more mindful of what I choose to share online. Thankyou once again for connecting with me and sharing your own stories. I’m making my way through my messages and will get back to every one of you.”

Look, nothing is keeping this family off the beach:

They got an umbrella, they got sunscreen—now everyone else should get a life!

Woman Gets Punched In The Face For Asking Man To Stop Manspreading

In New York City, riding the subway is a fact of life for most commuters. Sometimes, however, that means sharing a train with some questionable characters. For instance, Sam Saia was on her way to work when the man next to her began “manspreading,” that much-loathed practice of opening his legs to take up more than his fair share of space.

Since he was pushing her into the wall, Saia asked the man to stop. He responded by punching her in the face.

After the man attacked her, several bystanders jumped in and confronted him.

One video shows another passenger holding the assailant’s arms down and demanding he get off at the next stop:

After the incident, Saia attempted to file a report at the New York Police Department’s 17th precinct, but, once there, she was passed off to the Transit District 34 headquarters. The headquarters then told her that filing a report with them would be a waste of time since she could do so at any precinct (confusing), so she decided to take matters into her own hands.

Saia commented to the Daily News:

I said to myself, ‘OK, I’ll just blow it up on social media. I’m here doing what the police are supposed to do. I just want awareness and I want us to be safe.

People shared Saia’s Facebook post over 1,200 times before it was removed, presumably due to the internal inquiry initiated by the New York Police Department. Her words online have brought widespread awareness to the issue — and connected her with the bystander who took the video.

On Friday, Saia posted on Facebook:

The internet can be a beautiful thing!

Girl Gets Added To Soccer Mom Group Chat And Can't Stop Trolling Them

Sometimes the best things in life happen when you just ride the wave. Obviously this doesn’t apply to every situation. Like when a ship’s sinking and you need to get off and find a lifeboat, maybe it’s best if you stop engorging yourself at the seafood buffet and focus on saving your life.

But other times in life, there’s tons of fun to be had by just saying yes to a situation. Would you like fries with that? Yes. Would you like to come out tonight instead of staying in and browsing memes all night? Also yes.

Would you like to pretend like you’re one of the soccer moms on this group chat, despite being added to it accidentally? Well Facebook user Christi Rantis Lally user said yes to this situation and it provided some hilarious results.

Watch all the drama unfold below.

Why aren’t pudding cups acceptable snacks? Is it because you need to eat them with a spoon? Or the sugar content??

Woman Complains That She's Allergic To Dogs On Flight, Gets Removed From Plane

Well Southwest airlines recently removed a passenger from its plane, but for an entirely different reason: because she said she was deathly allergic to dogs.

The trouble is, she allegedly didn’t have an allergy card to prove her claim. After speaking with law enforcement officers and refusing to leave the airline, she was forcefully removed.

CBS reported that the man who recorded the scuffle, Bill Dumas, said the officers “spent a long time talking to the woman” before finally removing her from the flight.

For the most part, people on Twitter are siding with the airline and/or the two dogs, one of which was a service animal, as the woman had allegedly complained about them and wanted them off the flight before she was eventually taken off the plane.

Others couldn’t believe that the folks at Southwest “picked” dogs over human beings.

Others don’t know why she resisted in the first place.

While others suggested that this was probably the best case scenario for the removed passenger.

Southwest released the following statement, explaining, “We are disheartened by the way this situation unfolded and the Customer’s removal by local law enforcement officers. We publicly offer our apologies to this Customer for her experience and we will be contacting her directly to address her concerns.”

What do you think? Was it excessive to take her off the plane?

Actress Marlee Matlin Writes Tweet, Gets Unfollowed By All Trump Family Members

Academy-award winner Marlee Matlin was recently unfollowed by the whole Trumpclanfamily.

The actor and advocate for the deaf community was unfollowed because of this tweet she posted earlier this week:

How do we know they all unfollowed her? Well, there is a Twitter bot that actually tracks the follows and unfollows of the Trump accounts. Because, of course there is.

Needless to say, supporters had Matlin’s back.

They all followed her BECAUSE the Trumps unfollowed her.*

I think that’s beautiful!

(*Also, as someone born with only 50% of their hearing, I admit this got me a little teary-eyed.)

But, this message will really make you smile!

Here is a bit more detail about the unfollowing heard ’round the world:

Since Ms. Matlin dealt with worse on “The Apprentice,” and still followed them on Twitter, hard to believe she’s that petty.

Do I think the Trump offspring are that petty?

I mean, consider the source!

Thank you, Marlee for your courage in the face of ignorance!

Guy Gets Temporary Henna Tattoo He Will Probably Regret For Years To Come

Henna tattoos may seem like a good idea while you’re on vacation, but as Twitter user James Colley from Cardiff, Wales, recently learned, it’s still important to do your research first. During a trip to Zakynthos Island, Greece, he decided to get a Mike Tyson henna tattoo that he’ll probably be regretting for a while…

While the Henna used by most professionals is a natural coloring that will fade in a few days, some less reputable tattooists simply use cheap black hair dye. Black hair dye contains paraphenylenediamine (PPD), a chemical that is banned from use on skin in the European Union because it can lead to severe burns on some people.

In 2015, Mary Bates of the United Kingdom, then 16, got a tattoo on her leg that led to similar scarring while in Turkey. She was told by doctors from St. Albans Hospital, Hertfordshire, that the scarring could stay with her for the rest of her life.

Dr. Christopher Flower, Director-General of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association, warned those who seek Henna tattoos to go to reputable artists.

Most people on Twitter didn’t seem to have much sympathy, though.

Student Trapped On Train During His Graduation Ceremony Gets Surprise Celebration

Former high school student Jerich Marco Alcantara missed his commencement ceremony at Hunter College’s Brookdale campus on Tuesday, after getting caught in a delay on the E train. Alcantara toldSelect All that he had opted out of the second ceremony at Radio City Music Hall later in the day, because that one had a two ticket limitation for family, and he wanted as many people as possible to be there.

In fact, many of his friends and family members were traveling with him to the earlier ceremony when they finally admitted they weren’t going to make it.

“I was on track to be at my commencement at 9:15 a.m., but the delays altogether ended up taking almost three hours,” Alcantara said. “After 45 minutes, I knew I was already late, but I kept hoping that I’d at least make it to walking the stage.”

Most kids would throw down their clapboard hat and sulk at this point, but Alcantara rallied and ended up giving everyone on the train with him a very memorable experience:

Train goer Naduya Afzal posted a video on Tuesday of Alcantara in his full graduation regalia, getting a makeshift “diploma” from a friend on their cell-phone while the most high school song of all plays over a loudspeaker: “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” by Green Day.

It’s an oddly touching private ceremony witnessed by two dozen fascinated strangers, that ends with Alcantara hugging and kissing the people traveling with them. Presumably they’re not just more strangers, but who knows.

He even offers onlookers a copy of his diploma, saying, “If you want a copy of my diploma, turn on your AirDrop.” It seems like a few people took him up on it, if hesitant questions about how to turn AirDrop on are any indication.

If you’re thinking of doing something similar, be warned that magical New York City moments like this can’t be planned. “It wasn’t so much an idea, but something that just happened,” said Alcantara.

“Everyone was getting antsy and impatient, so I figured I’d lighten the mood by thanking everyone for coming out. That led to applause, and the rest just followed.”

Eventually, the family did make it above ground, but they were too late. The real ceremony had ended. Though this kid has bad luck with public transportation, he has good luck with friends.

“So I missed the commencement, but after the auditorium cleared out, my close friends threw me my own little graduation,” Alcantara said.

Another one? “It was a great time,”  he added.

It’s disappointing to miss a big life touchstone like graduation, but at least Alcantara hit a different milestone early on: going viral. Congrats!

The President Gets Fed Like A Teenageer In The White House And, Well, Blech

The President Gets Fed Like A Teenageer In The White House And, Well, Blech

Similar to his thoughts on environmental issues, Trump is insouciant about his diet.

The president powers up on Big Macs, KFC, Domino’s, and he washes it all down with his favorite elixir, Diet Coke. Which is interesting, since he once tweeted this:

twitter

twitter

The president vouches for his love of fast food because the companies  maintain a high standard of hygiene. Notorious for bristling at  double-dipping partygoers, Trump has always been obsessed with a high  level of cleanliness.

“One bad hamburger, and you can destroy  McDonald’s. One bad hamburger and you take Wendy’s and all these other  places and they’re out of business,” he told a pre-adversarial Anderson  Cooper at a CNN town-hall-style meeting early last year.

“I like cleanliness, and I think you’re better off going there than maybe some place that you have no idea where the food is coming from.”

nyt

He waxed poetic about Mickey D’s. “The Big Macs are great. The Quarter Pounder. It’s great stuff,” he praised.

But now that he has his meals served at the White House, he still insists on “clean” food.A Time‘s  report on the White House’s after hours described a scene in the dining  room. “The waiters know well Trump’s personal preferences. As he  settles down, they bring him a Diet Coke, while the rest of us are served water, with the Vice President sitting at one end of the table,” read the excerpt.

“With the salad course, Trump is served what appears to be Thousand Island dressing instead of the creamy vinaigrette for his guests. When the chicken arrives, he is the only one given an extra dish of sauce,” the report read.

“At the dessert course, he gets two scoops of vanilla ice cream with his chocolate cream pie, instead of the single scoop for everyone else,” the report continued. One  would be sadly mistaken to think that a teenager was present at the  table, when in fact, the needs of a 70-year-old’s palate was being  tended to.

The report added, “The tastes of Pence are also tended to. Instead of the pie, he gets a fruit plate.”

While on the campaign trail last year, he would often show his reverence for Colonel Sanders.

twitter

It appears as if the president’s tastes haven’t evolved much since  moving into the White House. There seems to be as much junk going into  his mouth, as there is spewing forth.

Little Boy Who Was Bullied For Wearing Make-Up Gets A Perfect Gift From Ellen

Little Boy Who Was Bullied For Wearing Make-Up Gets A Perfect Gift From Ellen

Reuben de Maid is a 12-year-old boy from Wales who has quite a set of pipes. He made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week in full-face glam make-up and did something very few adults would be brave enough to do on live TV—belt out “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls

Reuben, who has a small but dedicated YouTube following, started out singing on his karaoke machine. He attracted enough attention to earn an appearance on Little Big Shots, hosted by Steve Harvey. When asked where he got a beautiful voice, he very sweetly told Ellen, “I think it just came from the inside.” And practice, he admits. Reuben also does all his own make-up and has been doing it since he was about 8.

Ellen asked if he wears make-up to school, and Reuben said he does. She asked if he was bullied and Reuben explained that he was bullied for a few months. “In my drama group, I used to get hit, punched, and kicked,” he said, “After two months, I tried to brush it off, but brushing it off doesn’t work. So I stood up to them and I told my mom.” Reuben got moved to a new school and has found his new classmates far more accepting. As they should be, because Reuben is a star:

Ellen congratulated him, saying, “Well, good for you for not stopping being who you are, that’s really tough.”  She added, “And you look fantastic.”

Later Ellen asked what he wants to be when he grows up, and to the audience’s pleasure he said “a Kardashian,” explaining that he’d like to have his own make-up brand, website, and YouTube channel with his sister. Luckily, Ellen set him up with exactly what he needs to make his dreams come true, including a make-up set, a new computer, and a backdrop with the whole Kardashian brood to stand behind him. Reuben’s excitement was hard to capture:

Ellen

But I think we will have a lot more of Reuben to look forward to if he was able to accomplish this much before he even got his own box light.
