Trump Tweets Happy Birthday To The Wrong Person, And Fox News Made It Worse

Country music singer Lee Greenwood, who composed “God Bless the USA,” celebrated a milestone the other day. Greenwood turned 75, and President Trump tried to join in the birthday wishes on Twitter.

The President tweeted:

President Trump took time out of his busy day to send birthday wishes to one of the handful of musicians who agreed to perform at his inauguration. What a lovely gesture.

The only problem? He addressed his tweet to this Lee Greenwood:

It turns out @leegreenwood83 is a New York-based lawyer who prefers anti-Trump demonstrations to inaugurations. Awkward.

Trump deleted the tweet and reposted it to the proper Lee Greenwood within an hour:

But it was too late. Twitter had the receipts for both Trump and Fox News:

Lee the lawyer had an exciting day, and Lee the singer still got his birthday wishes.

Ryan Reynolds Just Got A Taste Of His Own Medicine With Blake Lively's Happy Birthday Burn

If there ever was an actor who earned the title of “Absolute Gem” on social media, it’s Ryan Reynolds.

Whether it’s providing these amazingly hilarious responses to fans dirty tweets, or golden nuggets about the joys of parenting like this treat below, the man always delivers.

Now you might’ve remembered this incredible birthday wish Reynolds gave to wife Blake Lively on Twitter that had the internet cackling with joy.

The man is a master of sarcasm and sincere-cynicism, did you expect him to give a standard, Happy Birthday tweet to his significant other? If you thought that, then you probably don’t know Ryan Reynolds at all.

And even though Blake’s never been one to shy away from proclaiming her feelings for her hubby, she also proved she can go toe-to-toe with the Happy Birthday jokes, as evinced by the following tweet:

Tit-for-tat. Crop-for-crop. Ryan for Ryan.

People loved Lively’s savagery and ability to dish out the same sweet photo-cropping revenge against her hubby once his birthday rolled around.

I can’t wait to see what Reynold’s response will be. For now, though, Lively’s definitely winning the Happy Birthday war.

Britain's New Bank Note Contains Animal Fat And Vegans Aren't Happy

The United Kingdom recently released a new £5 note with new security measures to try and put a stop to counterfeiters. But recently, a rumor started that the polymer of the note contained traces of tallow, a hard fatty substance made from rendered animal fat, often used in candles and soap.

The Bank of England, the UK’s central bank, confirmed the suspicions on Twitter when asked by a vegan if the claims were accurate.

And this realization hasn’t gone down well with the vegans of Twitter.

While others were quick to criticize those that were outraged.

A petition calling on the Bank of England to come up with a new design that doesn’t contain tallow has so far attracted 55,000 signatures.

The petition, started by Doug Maw, reads:

“The new £5 notes contain animal fat in the form of tallow. This is unacceptable to millions of vegans, vegetarians, Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and others in the U.K.”

“We demand that you cease to use animal products in the production of currency that we have to use.”

What do you think should happen?
