You might remember Demi Lovato for the unspeakable act of locking her sister, Poot, in a basement and keeping her out of public’s eye for years.
She’s also an incredibly talented singer, to boot, but people can’t seem to help but roast her on social media for the whole Poot fiasco, among other things.
Never one to back down from a good internet fight, Demi fought back in the best way possible: by backing down from an internet fight.
The pop singer has decided to officially call it quits on Instagram and Twitter.
In an effort to shield herself from the negativity of people’s comments on Instagram and Twitter, Lovato has decided to exclusively broadcast her happenings to her fans on Snapchat for a more one-way star-to-fan experience.
Then she got all existential.
Asking deep questions about her own awesomeness. Just why do we hate her so much?
Shame on us.
For all of her Insta and Twitter hating, Demi hasn’t deleted her accounts yet. Maybe she’s just trying to take a break in case she wants to go back to the platforms.
People think the post that broke the camel’s back was this controversial Insta photo and comment Lovato posted, suggesting Ariana Grande was better than Mariah Carey.
“Mariah is a legend and is so talented but constantly disses people. It’s nasty the way she treats Jennifer [Lopez]. Ari did nothing wrong.”
Apparently Mariah’s fans didn’t take too kindly to Lovato’s sacrilege and started hounding her for her anti-Carey comments.
Lovato doesn’t seem too phased by the hate. Here she is on Snapchat, appearing to be doing just fine without all of us tweeting at her and leaving comments on her Instagram.
But seriously, Demi, where’s Poot?
Let’s block ads! (Why?)
