A Little Girl Left Her Stuffed Animal At An Airport And It Went On Quite An Adventure
Remember your beloved stuffed animal, the one you slept with, and dressed up, and dragged around everywhere until it basically disintegrated? Perhaps it survived your childhood and still sits on a shelf, as a beloved reminder of a more innocent time. Or maybe you lost it somewhere, and it was never returned. That’s what happened to my poor stuffed Lamby. Yes, it was a stuffed lamb, who I still think about occasionally. Lamby, where are you?!
I’ll never know. One little girl named Gussie was saved from this devastation after leaving her favorite stuffed animal at the Norfolk Airport. Her mother, Kelly Bridges, wrote on Facebook that not only did the airport find the stuff animal, Cookie Dough, they made Gussie a special surprise: a little book showing all its adventures out on the town.
Bridges wrote: “Guys…Gussie lost her ‘Cookie Dough’ favorite stuffed animal at the airport last week. I called the airport to let them know, and they called us later to say they found it! She went to pick it up today and they gave her this book and I about cried. Norfolk International Airport, you all are awesome.”
The booklet showed Gussie not only that it was ok for her to lose her stuffed animal, but that Cookie Dough was having the time of its life.
It met some stuffed friends, checked the weather, and sampled some coveted airport merch:
Then, Cookie Dough went for a spin in a very nice car, and even got to ride on the dashboard, though it missed Gussie the whole time.
Cookie Dough even tested out some bigger cars, and got all dressed up for the job. It even met some really nice members of the rescue squad.
Cookie Dough got recruited to work as a police bear for a day, which seems like a big responsibility.
And even got to drive some fancy, airport-only vehicles:
Cookie Dough learned how to self-check for a flight, which, as we all know, is a very important skill:
Cookie Dough also adventured in ways a kid definitely shouldn’t. Stuffed animals have more leeway for stunts, though.
And Cookie Dough got snacks!
The stuffed dog took a really extensive tour of all the airport areas most of us never get to see:
Then almost got recruited again, this time for a different role:
But it was finally time to say goodbye to all its new friends and go home to Gussie:
Like everybody, Cookie Dough did experience some down time at the airport, but waiting around is part of the experience.
The booklet was made specifically by the Norfolk Airport Police, which makes me think that this may be the safest airport in America.
They seem to have a lot of time on their hands:
And they used it to make one little girl very, very happy:
But Cookie Dough: don’t go wandering aimlessly again.
A young artist named Kareem Waris is going viral right now for his unbelievable photorealistic drawings. Waris has been making art for years and years—but he’s only 11.
DD News reports that Waris began drawing when he was six, and was considered a “professional” by the age of eight, selling drawings from his small studio in Lagos, Nigeria. He says his artistic genre is “hyper-realism,” which you can see in the attention to detail on every subject.
Photos of his work have been circulating on Twitter, where he’s being celebrated for his skill.
Waris comes from a very poor neighborhood, and has seen his family and community struggling to make ends meet.
Many kids would not be selling their art at his age, even if it were anywhere as good, but Waris does so in part to support his family. He tried to express some of that in this piece, “Daily Bread.”
“The inspiration behind it is that something going on around me, especially my family. The sweat on it symbolizes hard work and struggling. And the spoon symbolizes food,” he said.
Everybody in my society has little now, or my streets, they struggle, struggle, they sweat for their eats.”
But Waris also has a very developed artistic philosophy for an 11-year-old.
“I try to focus on it to get the detail in the picture and in the artwork too. And in the artwork was painting. And in the picture will be in the artwork that anybody sees it, possibly symbolize photo,” he told DD News.
Waris became so well-known in Nigeria, he was commissioned to make a drawing of French president Emmanuel Macron:
And then he got to meet him:
Waris wants to continue his work, and eventually become an artist whose work is show in galleries and museums around the world. And the Internet really wants that to happen, too:
My gosh this talent is incredible!!!!! 10 years old??! Amazing. Shine young man, shine! – BBC News – Kareem Waris Olamilekan: A young Nigerian artist with grand plans https://t.co/bFabmRV8DQ
25-year-old Kinglsey Morgan has gone viral for his tweets about his 16-year-old brother Keneil’s date with his crush. It may be the most wholesome story of teen romance you’ve ever read, and it will also make you hungry.
Morgan was interviewed by Blavity about this incredibly sweet story of brotherly love, telling them, “We have a very close relationship. He considers me his role model and we do everything together. I study with him, we swap stories, he teaches me the latest dance moves in Jamaica, we cook together, go to the movies together — like I said, everything. I’m literally his credible source for confirming or denying anything he sees on the internet; even something as simple as a prank, he seeks my affirmation that it was indeed a prank.”
He also asked his brother to do the lion’s share of the work for his date with his crush. Morgan agreed to cook dinner for the family, and even made the girl’s favorite dish.
Which sounds absolutely delicious:
Even dad got in on the action, and put on some fun music for the pair as Morgan was working in the kitchen.
But Morgan finally caught a pic of the adorable couple:
And it went over well with the guest of honor:
Hi lil’ bro is taking things slow:
But it seems like his date likes that about him:
People are really impressed that Morgan went to so much trouble to help his brother out and support him:
And they’re wondering if Morgan might make them some curried chicken and rice:
Some people are imagining what their siblings would have done in his place, and it’s definitely not as nice:
Everyone is incredibly invested in this budding relationship, and Morgan has promised updates:
Look, even if it doesn’t work out between these two young lovebirds, Keneil is learning how to do romance right. Just cook them their favorite meal. Better yet, make your brother do it.
Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer didn’t have an easy job. He had to answer questions from journalists everyday about his boss, the President of the United States, and all of the drama that has been pouring out of his administration. But (though he looked stressed out right up until his resignation) Spicer did cover for all those things. He tried, anyway.
Spicer is on some sort of redemption tour, which means he is subjecting himself to public questions again. On Thursday, he appeared on HLN with S.E. Cupp and faced some of her questions about the inauguration and his comparison to Hitler when discussing Bashar Assad and bombing Syria. And more. There were a lot of lies to cover.
“There were times where I screwed up. There’s no question about,” said Spicer. “The inauguration. You brought it up. I would say that’s first and foremost. There was an event where I was trying to talk about how evil [Bashar] Assad was, and I screwed that up royally.”
Most of the interview is Spicer asking for citations and claiming he doesn’t remember most of the lies he told. Then in a conversation with Van Jones, he does admit to making some “mistakes.” Okay.
No one is really willing to accept Spicer’s rewrite of his own personal history:
Little Boy Who Was Bullied For Wearing Make-Up Gets A Perfect Gift From Ellen
By Aimee Lutkin

Reuben de Maid is a 12-year-old boy from Wales who has quite a set of pipes. He made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week in full-face glam make-up and did something very few adults would be brave enough to do on live TV—belt out “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls.
Reuben, who has a small but dedicated YouTube following, started out singing on his karaoke machine. He attracted enough attention to earn an appearance on Little Big Shots, hosted by Steve Harvey. When asked where he got a beautiful voice, he very sweetly told Ellen, “I think it just came from the inside.” And practice, he admits. Reuben also does all his own make-up and has been doing it since he was about 8.
Ellen asked if he wears make-up to school, and Reuben said he does. She asked if he was bullied and Reuben explained that he was bullied for a few months. “In my drama group, I used to get hit, punched, and kicked,” he said, “After two months, I tried to brush it off, but brushing it off doesn’t work. So I stood up to them and I told my mom.” Reuben got moved to a new school and has found his new classmates far more accepting. As they should be, because Reuben is a star:
Ellen congratulated him, saying, “Well, good for you for not stopping being who you are, that’s really tough.” She added, “And you look fantastic.”
Later Ellen asked what he wants to be when he grows up, and to the audience’s pleasure he said “a Kardashian,” explaining that he’d like to have his own make-up brand, website, and YouTube channel with his sister. Luckily, Ellen set him up with exactly what he needs to make his dreams come true, including a make-up set, a new computer, and a backdrop with the whole Kardashian brood to stand behind him. Reuben’s excitement was hard to capture:
Being with your baby and watching him sleep develops your relationship with your baby. A bonding of mother and her baby is incomparable to baby’s healthy emotional development especially from the mother. A bedside crib is enough guard to assure that you and your baby can sleep without worrying that the baby will be accidentally rolled over.
IF the baby is on the mother’s side, he or she is very reachable and the mother is able to quickly response to the baby’s needs which is the prime advantage of a bedside crib. Through quick response to the baby’s needs, the emotional development of the baby towards the mother is also developed. Research has shown that the promptness of the mother to attend to her baby’s needs make her baby grow secure and cry less.
Even for mothers who have undergone surgical operations and procedures, a bedside crib can be their greatest aid in reaching their baby without the need to stand up and move around, thus hastening the recovery of the mother and giving better time to rest for both parents. A bedside crib also leads you to save more space and time since this can also be the changing station and playpen of the baby.
When considering of buying a new bedside crib, perhaps you could consider some features that will be important to the crib. Initially, a JPMA or Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association certification will secure you that the bedside crib you purchase is safe for your baby. Price range, of course, should also be considered. You might think that an expensive one might be better than the cheaper one but you still have to weigh the features of your crib choices and think which crib you can utilized the most.
As I had mentioned earlier bonding is of utmost importance and a bedside crib gives you the perfect opportunity to do this. From experience I would recommend you look more seriously into the Davinci range of baby cribs. Not only does it provide comfort but it is known to have style and affordability. What’s more is its safety features. This particular brand of bedside crib in my opinion is the best value of money. If you want re-assurance in a baby crib this is what you need. On that note good luck with your choice and many blessings to you and your family.
