One Week After Couple Adopts Triplets, Their Doctor Gives Them This News

Sometimes destiny can throw you a curveball. This is particularly true in the case of Sarah and Andy Justice, a Tulsa, Oklahoma couple desperately longing to be parents. After years of unsuccessful attempts at conception, the Justices decided it was time to consider adoption.

Yet, like their three long years waiting to conceive, the adoption process proved equally frustrating. Still, the couple persevered and was soon given the chance to adopt not just one, not two, but three babies. Once the triplets were born, however, something unbelievable happened…

Facebook

Sarah and Andy Justice had been married for three years and while they were loving life together, they were missing one, vital thing: children of their own. It wasn’t for lack of trying, mind you, they just hadn’t had any luck conceiving. After three years of waiting, it seemed they would have to look into some sort of help.

Sarah and Andy decided that it was time to seek the advice of a fertility expert. In early 2014, the two traveled from their home in Tulsa, OK to St. Louis, MO to enlist the aid of a fertility specialist. The Justices drove for nearly six hours, but when they got there, they received more bad news…

iStock

The specialist told the couple that while they were perfect candidates for in-vitro fertilization treatment, there was still only a 10% chance that they would ever become pregnant. The process was also a bit more invasive than the couple had been prepared for. What’s more, the process wasn’t exactly going to be cheap, either.

iStock

As it turns out, in-vitro fertilization costs a pretty penny. The process would cost the Justices between $ 30,000 and $ 60,000. Between the extremely prohibitive cost and the fact that even if they did try it, it might not work, the couple decided that this was not the right path for them. So they went to the next logical step: adoption…

Screengrab

Even adoption had certain difficulties attached to it, however. For one, the process can take years to finalize, and the Justices were, like most people who opt to adopt, interested primarily in newborn babies. Still, they were willing to do whatever they had to in order to get the ball rolling, including a series of interviews.

Screengrab

As part of the adoption process, Sarah and Andy had to be interviewed by prospective birth mothers in order for them to determine if the couple would be suitable as parents. The interviews, while cordial and successful in the end, were exhausting and nervewracking for the Justices. Sadly, their struggle to build their family was far from over…

Screengrab

The Justices had been accepted as adoptive parents on two separate occasions, following the interviews. Yet in both cases, the birth mothers had changed their minds at the last minute. Just when it seemed like everything was going smoothly, they had to start all over again. But they were not about to give up that easily.

Finally, when they were at their lowest, the Justices received a call. One of their expectant mothers had accepted them as parents. They met with her again and even went with her to an ultrasound appointment. Everything appeared perfectly normal during the scan, but there was one little surprise that neither the mother nor the Justices had planned on: the woman was having triplets…

Facebook

Rather than try and renege on the agreement, the Justices decided to move forward with the adoption and accept all three babies. The papers were signed, after all. Sarah and Andy were about to become the proud parents of three beautiful newborns. It was not something they were initially prepared for…

Screengrab

As a matter of fact, the situation actually suited the couple perfectly. They had already planned on having more than one child but had dreaded the prospect of undergoing adoption process a second time. It seemed that now they had the perfect situation: multiple children all at once. Soon they were ready to meet their newborn triplets…

Facebook

The babies, Hannah, Joel, and Elizabeth, were born in May 2013. In yet another twist of fate, the triplets were born eight weeks early. The tiny little babies weighed only about three pounds each, which meant that they had to be kept in neonatal intensive care for some time before they could go home with their new parents.

iStock

A week after their premature birth, Sarah Justice decided to go to a doctor’s appointment by herself. The stress of the whole situation had been affecting her health slightly and she wanted to make sure she was feeling better by the time the triplets came home. When the doctor finally came in, he had some unbelievable news; she was not sick, she was pregnant. It was a miracle, and what’s more, she was expecting twins…

Facebook

Fate is a funny thing. While this amazing, and unlikely, occurrence would have felt like bad timing to most people, the Justices saw the humor in it. The irony of the situation wasn’t lost on them either, or the difficulty that would come with raising five children all under a year old. But Sarah and Andy were mentally and emotionally prepared for what was to come.

Facebook

They were, of course, shocked, even slightly overwhelmed by the news, who wouldn’t be? But they had been longing for a family of their own for so long, they couldn’t help but she the unique situation as a true blessing. Soon they had welcomed their biological twins, Andrew and Abigail, into their home as well. It was going to be a big adjustment…

Facebook

The situation wasn’t easy, obviously. With five hungry babies, the couple didn’t sleep a whole lot in the first few months. Luckily, Sarah and Andy had the support of their community and their family. Friends, neighbors, members of their parish, everyone pitched in to help and provide for the new family of seven.

Members of Tulsa’s Eastland Baptist Church began to send over food for the family as well. They sent cooked meals, frozen dinners, and baby formula. Their friends at church even offered to help watch the five Justice babies while the couple was away at work. And it wasn’t just food and time their friends provided, either…

Facebook

Diapers, bottles, blankets, clothing: it all came pouring in from donations around Tulsa. The supplies were sorely needed. The five infants went through a whopping 300 diapers and 84 bottles every week. And because it was such a task getting the kids from place to place, they had to get a bigger van.

Facebook

Sarah and Andy had a little trouble telling the babies apart at first, despite their slight age difference. To fix this, they came up with a system. The boys were easy enough, for obvious reasons. But for their older daughters, Hannah and Elizabeth, the parents used different colored toenail polish. Soon, the Justices were internet celebrities…

The story of the Justice clan instantly went viral and in the three years that passed since the Justices became parents, they have gained an impressive Facebook following. The world is constantly looking at their fantastic photos and updates. In fact, the couple who thought they’d never be parents, even welcomed a sixth child in January of 2016.

Facebook

Despite the crazy demands that the Justices’ face each and every day, they say they wouldn’t change it for the world. Their lives have become all about the babies, but they both feel that it’s a good thing. “It was something we’ve wanted so badly that we love it,” says Sarah Justice. “We just really love having these children.”

Viewer Called News Anchor A Racist Slur And She Blasted Them On Air

CBS Atlanta anchor Sharon Reed gets a lot of hate mail at work, much of it leaning on pretty racist rhetoric from trolls online. It seems like she is just about done with tolerating it. BuzzFeed Newsreports that Reed received a letter from someone named “Kathy Rae,” which was filled with racist slurs, or it would have been if the person writing it knew how to spell. Reed shared the message on Facebook, which reads:

you need to be fired for the race baiting comment you made tonight
it’s o.k. for blacks to discuss certain subjects but not whites, really??? you are what I call a Niger not a black person. you are a racist Niger. you are what’s wrong with the world

No, Kathy Rae doesn’t mean the country.

Reed also took time out to talk to Kathy Rae on air, and wherever she is, someone better take Kathy Rae to the burn unit, because this is scorching:

Reed repeated Kathy Rae’s email live, noting the message sender’s spelling errors. Then she decided to let Kathy Rae’s hate do the talking.

“I think when arguing with somebody, you have to be careful not to mischaracterize their viewpoint,” said Reed. “So I won’t mischaracterize your view either, Kathy Rae. I get it. On December 5, 2017, you think it’s okay to call this journalist a nigger. I don’t, but I could clap back and say a few things to you. But instead, I’ll let your words, Kathy Rae, speak for themselves.”

Everyone is straight up in love with Reed right now:

And don’t forget her coworkers sitting on either side during this epic clap back. They know what’s up.

News Reporter Completely Loses It Over Black Friday Live On TV–And We Feel For Him

Joshua Short has waited his entire journalistic career to cover a Black Friday live on the air. Don’t judge — we all have different goals. He finally got his chance this year, but the broadcast didn’t exactly go as planned. Josh and his news station expected long lines and the usual chaos that accompany Black Friday, but it appears 2017 was the year that residents of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs got it together.

There was no Black Friday crowd for Josh to report on.

Josh, who obviously isn’t a fan of “fake news,” decided to give one seriously honest report. The show’s anchor, Alex Wilcox, did his introduction and finally asked, “Josh, how are things going?”

Josh let him know exactlyhow things were going in this now-viral rant:

Alex caught that proverbial pass expertly with a smile and a chuckle. He then commented to Josh that he may be on the wrong side of the mall and there may be people at another entrance.

Check out the sweet screen-blur from Josh making his emotional exit:

Alex awkwardly ended the segment by stammering “Uh, Josh is gone, we lost Josh.” Always ready with a sense of humor, Joshua Short has embraced his moment of too-much-honesty and talked about it on social media.

He even posted the video with a bit of commentary:

And just like that, Josh won the hearts and minds of the world:

It didn’t take long before other reporters declared themselves #TeamJosh:

Someone should start a petition for Josh to report all the news from now on.

Trump Tweets Happy Birthday To The Wrong Person, And Fox News Made It Worse

Country music singer Lee Greenwood, who composed “God Bless the USA,” celebrated a milestone the other day. Greenwood turned 75, and President Trump tried to join in the birthday wishes on Twitter.

The President tweeted:

President Trump took time out of his busy day to send birthday wishes to one of the handful of musicians who agreed to perform at his inauguration. What a lovely gesture.

The only problem? He addressed his tweet to this Lee Greenwood:

It turns out @leegreenwood83 is a New York-based lawyer who prefers anti-Trump demonstrations to inaugurations. Awkward.

Trump deleted the tweet and reposted it to the proper Lee Greenwood within an hour:

But it was too late. Twitter had the receipts for both Trump and Fox News:

Lee the lawyer had an exciting day, and Lee the singer still got his birthday wishes.

Boston News Reporter Shares First Photos Of Vegas Terrorist's Arsenal Of Weapons

Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock’s horrific act of mass murder has yielded pain, sorrow and many many unanswered questions.

On Tuesday, we got a bit more information, as the first images of the arsenal of weapons assembled by the gunman emerged online.

Jacqui Heinrich, a Boston reporter for FOX 25 TV shared an exclusive first look at some of Paddock’s guns on Twitter:

Since then, more images have trickled out from the horrific scene of the crime:

Reports indicate that at least 23 firearms, some ammo, a bipod, optics, and a hammer — that was most likely used to smash out the windows — were strewn about the luxury room, which towered 32 floors above the concert venue, where 58 innocents died and 489 people were injured.

In addition, authorities recovered 19 firearms plus explosives and several thousand rounds of ammunition from Paddock’s home in Mesquite, Nevada and found several pounds of ammonium nitrate, which is used to make explosives, in Paddock’s car.

Law enforcement officials had hoped to learn more about Paddock’s motives from his girlfriend, Marilou Danley, who has returned from The Philippines and is cooperating with the investigation. In a statement she said that Paddock “never said anything to me, or took any action that I was aware of, that I understood in any way to be a warning that something horrible like this was going to happen.”

“It never occurred to me in any way whatsoever that he was planning violence against anyone.”

Trump Complains About ‘Worst Fake News’ As He Returns To Washington From Vacation

President Donald Trump recently returned from a two week summer vacation at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. But by the looks of his Twitter feed, the time off hasn’t helped the President relax much. On Sunday, President  Trump took to Twitter to slam the mainstream media, which he calls “fake news” for being the “most dishonest Fake News reporting [he has] ever seen.”

The tweet most likely refers to the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville the previous week, and the controversy that has surrounded it. President Trump was initially slow to reply to the violent clashes between white nationalists and counter protesters, which generated much criticism.

Politicians like Senator Ted Cruz took to Twitter to condemn the “hatred and racism” of groups like “the Nazis, the KKK, and white supremacists.” Trump’s own daughter, Ivanka Trump, said on Twitter that there is “no place in society for racism, white supremacy and neo-nazis.”

But Trump initially responded by saying that “many sides” were to blame for the violence. A White House statement later called out specific groups like the KKK. Only for Trump to later take to Twitter and seemingly call for Confederate statues to be left in place.

And then this weekend, President Trump again took to Twitter to condemn 40,000 counter protesters who took to the streets of Boston on Saturday to protest a “free speech” rally featuring far-right speakers, which had attracted around 100 participants.

The same day, President Trump took to Twitter once again to praise the counter protesters.

President Trump’s back and forth on the issue earned him praise from the likes of former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke on Twitter.

While his comment on “fake news” seems to have indicated to journalists that they’re doing their jobs well.

Photo Of Black Policeman Guarding Charlottesville Protesters Debunked As Fake News

Be careful of what you read on the Internet — it’s not always trustworthy! For instance, following the protests in Charlottesville, Virginia on Saturday, a Facebook post was circulated that supposedly was taken at Saturday’s protest, featuring a photo of a black police officer protecting the white supremacists attending the event.

Tweets of the photo generated thousands of favorites and retweets on Twitter before users realized it was actually taken back in July.

There was another white supremacist rally in Charlottesville on July 8, 2017, which is likely where this photo was taken. More than a thousand people were in attendance, including about 50 Ku Klux Klan members. According to USA Today, police used tear gas on the crowd, and 22 people were arrested.

There was also a white supremacist rally at the same site in May, which featured very similar torches to those which were a part of the most recent protest.

It’s also true that this isn’t the only picture of a black cop protecting white supremacists.

However, this photo was definitely not taken a the rally this past weekend, no matter what posters would have you believe. Many have now taken down their statuses and tweets, apologizing for the mistake.

Always be on the lookout for fake news!

Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity Makes A Serious Threat As More Heads Start To Roll

Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity Makes A Serious Threat As More Heads Start To Roll

Mounting tensions came to a head on Thursday when Sean Hannity took to Twitter to defend executive Bill Shine, who replaced the ousted Roger Ailes as the network’s co-president.

Hannity’s tweet was in response to Gabe Sherman’s story in New York Magazine about Shine’s lack of support from Rupert, Lachlan and James Murdoch of 21-Century Fox, who publicly refused to back Shine in a statement.

In much like Donald Trump’s MO, Hannity launched a dialogue on Twitter expressing his concern over Bill Shine’s job security. If Shine continues to lack support from the Murdoch’s, Hannity could walk.

Immediately following the tweet, Hannity addressed the erroneous insertion of the diaeresis in Sherman’s name:

Shine hasn’t been publicly associated with the FNC’s culture of misogyny behind the scenes the way in which Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly have.

However, on Tuesday, Shine was one of the names mentioned along with other executives in a class-action lawsuit by 11 former and current employees for racial discrimination in the work place and being dismissive about sexual harassment concerns surrounding Ailes.

Turner

Hannity, who is Shine’s longtime friend and ally, believes he knows the identity of the individual gunning for the executive.

He started a hashtag campaign to extend a lifeline to a colleague he brought to FNC in the 90s.

A source close to FNC told Deadline, “Sean is willing to take a bullet for Bill out of loyalty and he knows he’s holding a lot of chits there right now too. If he threatens to leave, and he could, then that really could be the end of the place as we know it.”

Mother Explains The Perfect Way To Break The News About Santa To Kids

Sooner or later the truth has to come out. You know, about the really old guy that manages to somehow delivers presents to every house in the world in a few hours. I had a friend who still believed in Santa when she as 12 years old.

So obviously it can be difficult for some parents to break the truth to their kids. So mother Charity Hutchinson recently decided to share an amazing way she recently learned to break the whole thing down with minimum tears.

“In our family, we have a special way of transitioning the kids from receiving from Santa, to becoming a Santa. This way, the Santa construct is not a lie that gets discovered, but an unfolding series of good deeds and Christmas spirit.”

“When they are 6 or 7, whenever you see that dawning suspicion that Santa may not be a material being, that means the child is ready.”

“I take them out “for coffee” at the local wherever. We get a booth, order our drinks, and the following pronouncement is made:”

“‘You sure have grown an awful lot this year. Not only are you taller, but I can see that your heart has grown, too. [ Point out 2-3 examples of empathetic behavior, consideration of people’s feelings, good deeds etc, the kid has done in the past year]. In fact, your heart has grown so much that I think you are ready to become a Santa Claus’.”

“‘You probably have noticed that most of the Santas you see are people dressed up like him. Some of your friends might have even told you that there is no Santa. A lot of children think that, because they aren’t ready to BE a Santa yet, but YOU ARE.'”

“‘Tell me the best things about Santa. What does Santa get for all of his trouble? [lead the kid from “cookies” to the good feeling of having done something for someone else]. Well, now YOU are ready to do your first job as a Santa!””

“Make sure you maintain the proper conspiratorial tone.”

“We then have the child choose someone they know–a neighbor, usually. The child’s mission is to secretly, deviously, find out something that the person needs, and then provide it, wrap it, deliver it–and never reveal to the target where it came from. Being a Santa isn’t about getting credit, you see. It’s unselfish giving.”

“My oldest chose the ‘witch lady’ on the corner. She really was horrible–had a fence around the house and would never let the kids go in and get a stray ball or Frisbee. She’d yell at them to play quieter, etc–a real pill. He noticed when we drove to school that she came out every morning to get her paper in bare feet, so he decided she needed slippers. So then he had to go spy and decide how big her feet were. He hid in the bushes one Saturday, and decided she was a medium. We went to Kmart and bought warm slippers. He wrapped them up, and tagged it ‘merry Christmas from Santa.’ After dinner one evening, he slipped down to her house, and slid the package under her driveway gate. The next morning, we watched her waddle out to get the paper, pick up the present, and go inside. My son was all excited, and couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. The next morning, as we drove off, there she was, out getting her paper–wearing the slippers. He was ecstatic. I had to remind him that NO ONE could ever know what he did, or he wouldn’t be a Santa.”

“Over the years, he chose a good number of targets, always coming up with a unique present just for them. One year, he polished up his bike, put a new seat on it, and gave it to one of our friend’s daughters. These people were and are very poor. We did ask the dad if it was ok. The look on her face, when she saw the bike on the patio with a big bow on it, was almost as good as the look on my son’s face.”

“When it came time for Son #2 to join the ranks, my oldest came along, and helped with the induction speech. They are both excellent gifters, by the way, and never felt that they had been lied to–because they were let in on the Secret of Being a Santa.”
