This Dad Worked Out So Much In The Last 6 Months He Looks Like A Different Person

Jeremiah Peterson is an antiques dealer living in Montana with his family, which includes three energetic kids. Bored Pandareports that in August, Peterson went on a  camping and hiking trip with those kids—it is Montana after all. But it wasn’t a fun, relaxing, pleasure trip.

Peterson said that instead of remembering hanging out with his family and enjoying the natural landscape, he was miserable and out of breath. His kids were running circles around him. He decided he needed a change.

He committed to a daily exercise regimen and a keto diet, which means high in fats and proteins and extremely low in carbs. He tracked his progress on Instagram and the results are astounding.

The Daily Mailinterviewed Peterson on his progress, and it seems like even he was shocked by how quickly his appearance transformed.

“I went from having a real dadbod to having a college kid’s physique,” said Peterson. People were coming up to him all the time to tell him he was getting younger looking by the day. It wasn’t just hid body that was changing, it was happening all over.

“Since going from fat to lean it’s made everything better, my hair and skin look healthier, you can see my jawline instead of chubby cheeks and I have abs.”

Well, yes, also the abs. Here he is at 31 days into his program, already looking super different:

Peterson works out three hours a day, which is definitely a lot. But that includes hiking as well as weightlifting. He says that he once went home and drank beer to destress from work. Now, hiking in the mountains is a much healthier alternative, and helps him clear his mind much more efficiently.

Peterson also shared his meals with followers, so folks would know what he was putting into his body to fuel workouts:

And the results speak for themselves:

In a caption of his before and after photos, Peterson writes that he’d been making excuses for himself and lost touch with how he was looking and feeling before starting this challenge to get fit.

Peterson got help planning his meals and workouts from a group called My Transformation Starts Today, a group that also awards cash prizes and runs contests for participants. And he won $ 50,000!

Personally, I was wondering how he found the time, but if you get a year’s salary to work out, that takes some of the time pressure off, doesn’t it?

Maybe he could also get into modeling?

Hard work that paid off. Literally.

Trump Tweets Happy Birthday To The Wrong Person, And Fox News Made It Worse

Country music singer Lee Greenwood, who composed “God Bless the USA,” celebrated a milestone the other day. Greenwood turned 75, and President Trump tried to join in the birthday wishes on Twitter.

The President tweeted:

President Trump took time out of his busy day to send birthday wishes to one of the handful of musicians who agreed to perform at his inauguration. What a lovely gesture.

The only problem? He addressed his tweet to this Lee Greenwood:

It turns out @leegreenwood83 is a New York-based lawyer who prefers anti-Trump demonstrations to inaugurations. Awkward.

Trump deleted the tweet and reposted it to the proper Lee Greenwood within an hour:

But it was too late. Twitter had the receipts for both Trump and Fox News:

Lee the lawyer had an exciting day, and Lee the singer still got his birthday wishes.

This Skydiver Is About To Be The First Person To Jump Without A Parachute

Those of us who play it safe in life could probably learn something from Luke Aikins. One of the best skydivers in the world Aikins has made a total of 18,000 jumps in his life. He’s set world records, trained elite divers, and performed stunts in movies… But his most recent project takes things to another level.

He’ll be the first person ever to jump 25,000 feet without a parachute or wingsuit and (hopefully) land safely.

“I’m trying to treat it like just another jump,” Aikins told CBS Los Angeles

Well, we’re not convinced that’s possible since all the other jumps have had that handy parachute there, but what do we know?

When speaking to U.S. News and World Report, he mentioned that he thought the idea was crazy several years ago when some Hollywood producers pitched him the idea in an attempt to create an epic reality T.V. stunt. He recalled the conversation he had with his wife at the time:

I said, ‘You won’t believe these guys. They want me to jump out without a parachute.’ She said, ‘Oh, with a wingsuit.’ I said, ‘No, they want me to do it with nothing.’ We both had a good laugh about that.

Turns out, the producers planted the seed in his head— and he had to try it out.

As far as qualifications go, Aikins couldn’t be better prepared.

The forty-two-year-old has a lifetime of experience skydiving. He made his first jump at age twelve and her first solo jump at age sixteen— and he’s done around eight hundred jumps a year since then.

Aikins has previously taught skydiving, worked with skydiving instructors, and even done some stunts for Iron Man 3. The guy knows what he’s doing.

And there are some safety measures in place.

Aikins will drop into a literal safety net— one that is about a third of the size of a football ball and twenty stories high. Allegedly, the net will provide sufficient space to cushion his fall while ensuring we won’t bounce out.

And he doesn’t take this endeavor lightly; he has a wife and a four-year-old son to come home to after the jump. “If I wasn’t nervous I would be stupid,” he told U.S. News And World Report. “We’re talking about jumping without a parachute, and I take that very seriously. It’s not a joke.”

Don’t worry, there have been some ‘rehearsals’ for the big event.

During test runs (with parachutes) at the drop location, Aikins has landed in the same spot seventy-three times in a row.

…Here’s to hoping it happens a seventy-fourth time.

Yes, you’ll be able to watch the jump (if you dare).

Fox will be broadcasting the two-minute jump live at 8 p.m. EDT on Saturday. We recommend watching with a drink and stress ball in hand.

So, why do this?

“To me, I’m proving that we can do stuff that we don’t think we can do if we approach it the right way,” Aikins answered.

…Fingers crossed. (h/t us news and world report)
