Spider-Man Surprises Unsuspecting Starbucks Customers In Viral Prank Video

Meeting Spider-Man would be extremely exciting, but you probably wouldn’t expect him to just be at your local Starbucks, picking up some coffee on his way to a meeting with The Avengers. He’s supposed to catch you as you fly through the air after an attack from the Green Goblin. Then you’re already screaming, unlike all these people who were calmly waiting for a caffeinated beverage before their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man dropped out of the ceiling.

That’s when they started screaming:

The prank was set up to promote Spider-Man: Homecoming, but that’s not Tom Holland in the suit. Though Holland is admirably lithe and able, he is not a professional stunt-man, unlike Chris Silcox, who is usually the body inside the suit. His account isn’t verified, but some guy named Chris Silcox on Instagram sure loves dressing up as Spidey and running around town, so I’m fairly certain this is him:

Mashableinterviewed Silcox and the ad group that came up with the idea—they had to find a Starbucks with high ceilings so they could build a false one for Silcox to crouch in, then tie him up in a harness to await his targets. It’s actually kind of nerve-wracking to watch. While some people are thrilled to meet a Marvel super hero, enough people screamed that I was a little afraid Spider-Man would get a cup of hot coffee in the face.

Silcox said the best part was, of course, the kids:

“When a very bright upside-down superhero appears out of no where, what do you do? Little kids seemed to take to Spider-Man best, which was funny! [They thought,] ‘Of course Spidey’s here … Why wouldn’t he be here to grab a Cap’n Crunch Frappuccino?! It’s hot out!’ Plus, if a mocha latte was thrown at me, the amazing baristas working with us — who were actually working and gave every single person we surprised a drink and a smile — would have helped me clean my Tony Stark suit in a jiffy.”

This whole thing definitely made me excited for Spider-Man the film, and also for an absolutely enormous cup of coffee. I mean, who knows who I’ll meet?

Bride Hilariously Surprises Groom During Their 'First Look' With T-Rex Costume

To say that marriage is an emotional experience would be a colossal understatement. You’re basically devoting the rest of your life to another person in the hopes of building an incredible life with them.

It’s a huge step and one that’s usually celebrated with an epic party. And when you’re planning for your wedding celebration, you have to make sure everything is perfect. People go on crash diets and get all dolled up. When figuring out the ins and outs of the wedding, couples usually learn a lot about each other, specifically how they react to stressful situations.

Sometimes it can be a bit much, so letting out some steam becomes necessary.

Like this bride did when she trolled her groom-to-be by wearing a T-Rex costume for his “first look” at the bride.

“First Looks” usually happen when the couples get all glammed up for each other in their wedding regalia and then take photos to memorialize the beautiful moment when these two people realized the other has never looked so hot in their entire lives.

Jon Clark Weddings and Paul Seiler Photography captured the moment and talked about being accosted with the bride’s amazing idea:

“He told me the bride was thinking of doing a first look… in a T-rex costume. I knew we had to encourage this thought, and so, we did exactly that. This couple was so fun as you can tell, and it definitely was a dream wedding to shoot,” videographer Jon Murray said in an interview with Fstoppers.

First looks are usually a lot less hilarious and more sappy, in case you were wondering.

Basically me whenever I get home and see the dude at Taco Bell put in an extra crunchwrap supreme without charging me.

Obama Surprises Biden With Medal of Freedom And Confirms Joebama 'Bromance'

Regardless of whether you’re a Republican or a Democrat, you have to admit that the memes that came out of Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s bromance are pretty amazing.

After Obama-Biden memes blew up, it got people a bit cynical, saying that the heights of their love for each other were a bit exaggerated and that the internet was fueling the narrative of how good of friends they were just for the sake of memes.

And I would have been fine with that. When I look at the realities of life I tend to get a bit depressed, so I was totally cool with their bromance being overly celebrated, even if it wasn’t entirely the real deal.

But it turns out that magic does exist, ladies and gentleman, because even Obama threw a surprise send-off for Biden.

And what’s more is that he used the word “Bromance” to describe their relationship, joking that “This also gives the internet one last chance to talk about our bromance.”

Obama called Biden the “best Vice President” the US has ever had, and awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Which an emotional Joe accepted graciously. But of course, Biden being Biden, he had to lay some humor down with a classic Barack anecdote.

He concluded by telling Barack he has his back forever, because that’s what bromances are for.
