This Viral Video Of A 4-Year-Old Boy Handling A Gun Caused A Huge Uproar Online

Gun control is a hotly debated issue in America and one that is sure to make the comments section on any video or article go absolutely insane.

In fact, people feel so passionately about the issue that some have gone so far to concoct conspiracy theories stating the victims of school shootings are “crisis actors” or they make up the “true origins” of shooters.

One point that a lot of gun control proponents bring up is the fact that the number of toddlers who kill and are killed by guns in American every year is ridiculously high: higher in 2015-2017, for example, than the number of people who were killed by acts of terrorism in the US.

So you can only imagine the online fury that was created after this video of 4-year-old Maverick cocking and pulling the trigger of a rifle at an NRA convention went viral.

The child was approached by huntress and outdoorswoman Kendall Jones who asked the young boy to show her what he can do with the gun. He then demonstrates his understanding and ability to engage the gun’s bolt and trigger mechanism, then unloads and loads the rifle’s magazine.

“That is adorable,” Jones says at the end of the video clip she posted on her Twitter account.

Kendall’s video of Maverick was posted with the caption, “This video is INCREDIBLE! Parenting done RIGHT.”

And there were a bunch of people who agreed with her and praised the 4-year-old’s parent’s decision to bring him to an NRA convention.

But there was an overwhelmingly negative response to Jones’ tweet – many of them from self-proclaimed gun enthusiasts and firearm owners themselves.

Many said that the child was treating the gun as a toy and wasn’t taught the proper way to handle or respect a firearm by his parents at all.

Others felt that there was a clear double-standard when it came to the young boy handling this gun, and that it was disturbing that he viewed handling the firearm like it’s a game.

Some thought that video was sending a dangerous message to children and couldn’t believe that the tenets of the NRA shifted away from gun safety.

It’s rare that a “pro-gun” video receives criticism from those who are pro gun ownership, but both “Libs” and “Cons” seemed to be on the same page with a 4-year-old demonstrating a lack of respect for guns and encouragement by adults for doing so.

This Principal Pranked His Students With His 'Snow Day Routine' Video

When I was a kid I thought that my school’s principal actually lived in the school.

I didn’t see principals as human beings with mortgages and families and their own set of problems and feelings. I just assumed they were there to enforce rules and underwent some kind of ritual before accepting the position as guardian of the school.

So I often wondered what they did when students went home for the day. Did they chill with the janitor? Did they wander the halls doing tricks on a BMX bike? Or did they pull a Mr. Belding from this Dirty Heads music video?

I guess I’m not the only one who had these burning questions when I was a kid, which is probably why Principal David Novy from Ronald R. Albrecht Elementary school decided to come up with this hilarious video detailing all of the antics he gets into while his students are away.

And it’s pretty incredible.

Schools in Brodhead, Wisconsic recently had themselves a snow day, so Novy served up the video to answer the question on all his student’s minds: what’s our principal up to?

As it turns out though, Novy isn’t the only principal providing comedic relief for his students on snow days.

Chad Caddell made a nice little song for the kids at his school.

Gerry Brooks is also a treasure trove of laughs.

Alicia Reeves decided to use the best and worst ’90s rap song of all time to announce schools would be closed.

Some educators weren’t afraid to act a fool.

Sometimes though, principals aren’t the ones starting jokes, but are on the receiving end of them. Like this one principal who was turned into a meme.

Or this wholesome principal prank where students poured a surprise bucket of thank you notes all over him.

Or this classic where students hired a mariachi band to follow him around and play for him.

One group of seniors once put the school property for sale on Craigslist and the principal was bombarded with calls.

And this one principal who really got “screwed” over by their students.

And this one who had a senior class that was very concerned with preserving his office.

I’d like to think that the principals who were on the receiving end of these pranks took them well. Novy seems like a guy with a sense of humor himself so I don’t think he’d mind a good old-fashioned prank war, as long as it doesn’t interfere with his Risky Business hallway dancing.

Woman Captures Instance Of Catcalling On Video During A Walk–Uploads Online For All To See

A woman in Kallangur, Australia, has been getting harassed by the same old creep for months, and finally decide to do something about it.

While her husband waited on a street corner, she walked by the neighborhood lech, knowing he would likely give her a hard time again. She had her camera ready, according to the Daily Mail, who spoke with the unidentified woman after footage of the altercation went viral.

As she walks by him, the man seems to say, “Nice set of boobs you’ve got,” seemingly out of nowhere.

At that she turns and tells him she just recorded him talking about her breasts, and he suddenly tries to act like they’re having a  normal conversation.

“How are you?” he asks. “Good? Your husband’s on the corner, isn’t he?”

“I just videoed you saying that, d***head,” she responds.

“Oh, sorry,” he says.

“I’m going to take it to the police. K**bhead,” she says. In text it looks angrier than when she actually says it. She sounds nervous and uncomfortable to be confronting the guy who has been harassing her.

And that’s what she told the Daily Mail, saying it was extremely difficult to film him.

“I was shaking. I’m not a soft person,” she said. “I couldn’t even speak properly. You could tell in my voice I was really nervous. I was frightened.”

“He was so stupid he didn’t realise I was videoing him,” she added. “It’s worse that he’s an older man and you’d think that he’d know better. You’d expect a 12-year-old child to say something silly like that.”

The woman’s husband wrote a post on Facebook, according to Indy 100, saying that if other women recognize this guy they should come forward.

Beyonce Releases Powerful Video To Celebrate International Day Of The Girl

Wednesday was the International Day of the Girl and to celebrate, Beyoncé released a music video in conjunction with Chime for Change and Global Goals for her song “Freedom.” The video features some very awesome little girls from all over the world dancing and lip-syncing and though they’re both cute and inspiring, they’re conveying a very important message that’s breaking our hearts:

Captions explain that girls all over the world experience violence, in the form of murder, human trafficking, FGM, and even the every day oppression of keeping girls from getting an education. Global Goals wants to see these forms of suppression against women and girls ended by 2030. It’s a staggering goal, with so much in the way, but watching these girls and their fierceness is giving everyone hope that change is possible:

You’re not just fighting for yourself, but for the young women in your life that need you.

Alex Jones Shares Video ‘Proving' Michelle Obama 'Is A Man'—And Chelsea Clinton Shot Back

Conservative commentator Alex Jones is at it again.

This time he shared a video that he claims is “final proof that  Michelle Obama is a man.” Oh, and he implied that Joan Rivers was killed for revealing this information.

Riiiiight.

Jones, who has previously suggested that the Sandy Hook massacre was a  hoax and who has cast doubt on 9/11, has long promoted the theory that Michelle Obama was born a man but said the ‘new viral video’ proved that he did not invent the theory himself.

We won’t dignify the video with an embed here, but here’s a taste of Jones’s words on the matter:

“Analyzing the photographs, Michelle appears to have a very large penis in her pants. Her shoulders are wide, her face is very, very, masculine.”

“She looks like a tranny and so you ask yourself, are the children a beard?”

DailyMail

Chelsea Clinton took to Twitter to slam Jones and praise the former First Lady.

Chelsea also made sure to mention she didn’t visit Jones’s InfoWars site.

Others chimed in, supporting Chelsea and Michelle.

And she will continue to fight the good fight. Bravo Chelsea! Thank you for persisting!

Bless This Behind-The-Scenes Video Of Tormund And The Hound Singing Together

The actors behind Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) and The Hound (Rory McCann) had so much fun (or were so bored) during filming for the latest season of Game of Thrones that they sang a jaunty duet together—thankfully captured in its full beauty on Hivju’s Instagram page.

This video really took me on a journey of Kristofer Hivju‘s Instagram page, and honestly I have an entirely new Internet boyfriend.

I mean:

Or even just look at him sharing, like, crafts that he likes.

Bad news, though—he’s married. And apparently his wife is also kissed by fire.

I’ll just have to live vicariously through Brienne.

Video Of Hillary Clinton Accurately Warning America About Trump And White Supremacy Re-Emerges Online

As the nation grows ever more divided, with President Trump emboldening hate groups by not expressly condemning them after the deadly protest in Charlottesville, a voice of reason has emerged.

Unfortunately for us, however, that voice is from a year ago, when Hillary Clinton attempted to warn voters of the dangers of electing Donald Trump.

In a video that has reemerged and gone viral, Clinton explains exactly the circumstances we find ourselves in at the moment:

Teen Kills Her Boyfriend In Accident While Filming YouTube Video

Monalisa Perez, a vlogger from Minnesota, was arrested this past Monday, June 26th, after fatally shooting her boyfriend, 22-year-old Pedro Ruiz, while filming a stunt for their YouTube channel. She was charged with second-degree manslaughter, a crime which carries the maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, a fine of $ 20,000, or both. By all accounts, it seems the shooting was an accident and that Ruiz actually helped plan it.

Perez called 911 Monday evening and told authorities she had accidentally shot her boyfriend. The police responded to the couple’s house in Norman County and found Ruiz with a single gunshot wound to the chest. They attempted to save the young man, but he died on the scene.

Perez, who happens to be pregnant, says Ruiz was excited by the idea of her shooting a book while he was holding it. He believed the book would stop the bullet, and may have even tested his theory on several other books. This time, however, the bullet did not stop. Earlier that same night, Perez tweeted about the upcoming segment:

Perez started the couple’s YouTube vlog in March to record the lives of a young couple who are also teen parents. Since then, they’ve uploaded several videos which often feature “stunts,” “challenges,” and “pranks.” The couple’s 3-year-old daughter also occasionally makes an appearance.

Here’s one of Perez’s videos:

The couple recorded their fatal stunt on two cameras which are now being held as evidence by the police. Perez told authorities that, after being shown another book which a bullet had failed to go through, she agreed to shoot from a foot away while Ruiz held the book to his chest. She used a .50-caliber Desert Eagle firearm.

Ruiz’s aunt, Claudia, heard about the stunt idea from Pedro and begged he not go through with it. She’s especially broken-hearted by how things have turned out:

“They were in love, they loved each other. It was just a prank gone wrong. It shouldn’t have happened like this. It shouldn’t have happened at all.”

In their final video, Perez said she was 25-weeks pregnant and looking forward to raising another child with Ruiz. They were planning to name the little boy Pedro, after his father.

Spider-Man Surprises Unsuspecting Starbucks Customers In Viral Prank Video

Meeting Spider-Man would be extremely exciting, but you probably wouldn’t expect him to just be at your local Starbucks, picking up some coffee on his way to a meeting with The Avengers. He’s supposed to catch you as you fly through the air after an attack from the Green Goblin. Then you’re already screaming, unlike all these people who were calmly waiting for a caffeinated beverage before their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man dropped out of the ceiling.

That’s when they started screaming:

The prank was set up to promote Spider-Man: Homecoming, but that’s not Tom Holland in the suit. Though Holland is admirably lithe and able, he is not a professional stunt-man, unlike Chris Silcox, who is usually the body inside the suit. His account isn’t verified, but some guy named Chris Silcox on Instagram sure loves dressing up as Spidey and running around town, so I’m fairly certain this is him:

Mashableinterviewed Silcox and the ad group that came up with the idea—they had to find a Starbucks with high ceilings so they could build a false one for Silcox to crouch in, then tie him up in a harness to await his targets. It’s actually kind of nerve-wracking to watch. While some people are thrilled to meet a Marvel super hero, enough people screamed that I was a little afraid Spider-Man would get a cup of hot coffee in the face.

Silcox said the best part was, of course, the kids:

“When a very bright upside-down superhero appears out of no where, what do you do? Little kids seemed to take to Spider-Man best, which was funny! [They thought,] ‘Of course Spidey’s here … Why wouldn’t he be here to grab a Cap’n Crunch Frappuccino?! It’s hot out!’ Plus, if a mocha latte was thrown at me, the amazing baristas working with us — who were actually working and gave every single person we surprised a drink and a smile — would have helped me clean my Tony Stark suit in a jiffy.”

This whole thing definitely made me excited for Spider-Man the film, and also for an absolutely enormous cup of coffee. I mean, who knows who I’ll meet?
