Everyone Is Shocked By How Someone Tried To Bargain Down This Wedding Caterer

Artists and writers are used to people undervaluing their work, either because they’re entitled, or they simply don’t comprehend what they’re asking for in terms of labor. But how can you argue over the cost of food? A caterer named Onequa shared a conversation she had with a woman about a proposed wedding meal that shows people are always trying to get more than they deserve for as little as possible.

She shared the screenshot of a text conversation on Twitter, and it starts out normal. The woman she’s speaking with is the god daughter of the woman getting married, apparently stepping in as a wedding planner. She asks for a number of dishes, including an omelette station, wing station, and waffle station for a breakfast/brunch meal. She mentions three different types of fish, too. This lady wants it all!

Onequa very reasonably quotes $ 5,000 for 200 people, which brings all that to down below $ 30 a head. Remember, she is buying all the materials and cooking everything. The woman comes back at her with some insults about her presence on Instagram, then tries to lowball her. It’s wild!

You want all that and cupcakes, too, for $ 2,100! And they’re some good looking cupcakes:

You need to pay for all the flavors, luv.

People are really blown away by how Onequa’s work was undervalued by these women, and they just can’t get over it:

You cannot cater a wedding for “exposure.”

Also, her rate was reasonable??? People with wedding (and math) experience said this woman blew the deal of her life on that wedding buffet:

There were some offered alternatives:

But she was also so rude.

On the bright side, people are loving Onequa’s story so much they’re sending her some pocket cash:

And following her on Instagram and sending messages of support:

So, she didn’t get to cater someone’s last minute wedding. Instead, she gets the support of the Internet for valuing herself. And giving us some hilarious text messages to scream over. That is definitely worth $ 28 a head.

Everything You Need To Know About Saturday's Royal Wedding

In case you missed it this past weekend, much of the world closely observed one of the most anticipated events of 2018, Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle. The fairy tale wedding did not disappoint.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went against several royal conventions. For one, they put an end to the long-standing streak of an all-white British monarchy, but they also got married on a weekend, rather than the royal tradition of weekday nuptials.

Here is the American side of the family showing off their royal wave.

This allowed for incredible celebrity sightings (don’t forget, Meghan was an actress on the popular TV series Suits), outfit changes, a wild party—and resulted in over 1.9 billion people tuning in live around the world

Here’s what you need to know about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Royal Wedding.

1. These were the larger-than-life florals cascading the walls of St. George Chapel, where the two got married.

2. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became the sixteenth royal couple to get married at Windsor Castle since 1863.

3. Here’s the ring Prince Harry proposed with. It was custom made by the court jewelers Cleave and Company, and featured one diamond from Botswana as well as two smaller stones from Harry’s mother, Princess Diana’s collection.

4. At the wedding, Meghan made a regal entrance, wearing a Givenchy dress and a tiara lent to her by the queen. Her veil was hand-embroidered with flora representing the 53 countries of the Commonwealth. She walked halfway down the aisle alone, until Prince Charles accompanied her to Prince Harry.

5. At which point, the internet melted.

6. During the church ceremony, gospel singers sang “Stand By Me.”

7.  Teenage cellist Sheik Kanneh-Mason performed.

8. Eventually the newlyweds made a picture-perfect exit.

9. At some point during the daytime luncheon celebration, Elton John performed some of his hits, and this lemon elderflower cake was served. The cake caused a bit of a stir, as it represented another shift from royal wedding tradition, which typically calls for fruit cake to be served the the reception.

10. Prince Harry, Meghan and Elton John weren’t the only ones looking stunning during the Windsor Castle daytime affairs, which called for men to wear “morning dress” (morning coat + waist coat + tie + striped trousers) and women to wear a formal day dress (or skirt suit) with a mandatory hat.

11. Only a select few of the daytime invitees were invited to continue to the royal couple’s evening reception, which Idris Elba apparently DJed. And Serena Williams’ beer pong skills allegedly put everyone else to shame.

12. After Prince Charles and Camilla decided to “leave the young ones to it” around 11PM, there was a spectacular firework display, which many say was Harry’s decision, as they remind him of his late mother, Princess Diana of Wales.

13.  Rumor has it, the party continued into the early morning hours in London’s exclusive Chiltern Firehouse restaurant.

And after that, there was a private house party, making this wedding sound like the funnest and wildest the monarchy has maybe ever had.

But the hangover seems to have worn off quickly, as Kensington Palace released official photos of the wedding early Monday morning.

This Wedding Venue Is 'Mortified' About Calling Bride-To-Be 'Cow' By Mistake

Life is full of moments where you want to stab yourself in the neck out of embarrassment.

Getting caught saying something behind someone’s back is one of them. Like when you’re talking smack about a person via text and accidentally sent that text to the person you’re talking smack about.

Not cool. But the good news is that since you’re talking with a friend you can hash that stuff out and go back to enabling each other’s bad behaviors or stop being friends entirely.

But if you get caught doing that and you’re a business in the customer service industry with client reputation on the line, then getting caught bad-mouthing people you shouldn’t be bad-mouthing can be a big, big problem.

Which is reportedly what happened with The Mulberry Tree restaurant when Jade Sharp checked the venue out while she was planning her wedding.

Sharp posted about her experience with The Mulberry Tree on Trip Advisor. After getting drinks with her fiance one night to get a feel for the place, they scheduled a time to meet with a representative from the venue to discuss potentially booking their wedding there.

When they arrived at their scheduled appointment time, things reportedly went downhill. Apparently no one told the team about their appointment that day and the restaurant wasn’t open for business. The entire exchange after that was an awkward one that left a sour taste in Sharp’s mouth because the individual showing her the venue allegedly couldn’t answer her questions.

Her Trip Advisor review tells her side of the whole story.

After following up with the restaurant via email, Sharp was shocked to see a response in her inbox that seemingly was meant for a work colleague.

It starts off with Jade being called a “cow,” and the fact that she complained “pissed” her off.

The mix-up did little to improve Sharp’s opinion of the Mulberry Tree – it only further solidified Sharp’s belief that the staff there are “rude and unprofessional.”

The restaurant’s manager, Karen Walker responded on Trip Advisor, apologizing profusely to Sharp for her experience.

Before posting online, Walker also called Sharp privately to apologize.

As it stands now, The Mulberry Tree has a relatively good reputation online.

There’s an overwhelmingly positive and ‘very good’ number of reviews when compared to “poor” and “terrible” ones.

But Sharp wasn’t the only one to complain about the restaurant’s customer service.

There were several complaints about the overall attitude of the staff.

There were only a few complaints about the quality of the food, with lots of people saying it was yummy. However it just goes to show how much a poor wait staff can affect the dining experience.

Woman Creates Hilarious Auction Ad For Wedding Dress And People Are In Love

Dealing with a break-up is never easy and people have different coping mechanisms.

Whenever I’ve gone through a split, I found hitting the gym harder than usual and cleaning up my diet helped put me in a good frame of mind. Usually I’m so upset that I don’t want to eat in the first place, and with all of the free time I have, those extra hours I put into working out came easily.

It might not be the healthiest way to cope, despite the obvious benefit of having a trimmer bod, and I probably would’ve had a better time with my break-ups if I had a sense of humor about being dumped or doing the dumping.

Like this New Zealand woman did when she penned a hilariously descriptive Trade Me (like craigslist) post auctioning off her wedding dress, which, as the item description indicates, she did after divorcing her husband.

That’s a pretty savage recap of the relationship and what she thinks of her ex.

As of now, the dress is sitting on a $ 665 AUS bid, and the poster’s unfortunately been forced to make comments on the dress private, as media outlets kept bugging her about the ordeal.

This isn’t the first time women have flocked to private seller sites to offload wedding dresses when their relationships didn’t pan out.

Like this guy was put on blast by his fiance after he allegedly cheated on her.

Or this other woman who had a zinger for her own relationship in this candid wedding dress advertisement.

Her ex-husband eventually came out and gave his side of the story and the two ended things amicably. In fact, he even praised her blog and and industriousness in turning her own personal heartbreak into a positive.

So it’s nice to see that not all break-ups end with heaping spoonfuls of bitterness and loathing. I mean most of them do, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Right?

People Are Losing It Over This Viral NSFW Wedding Photo

A Dutch photographer name Michel Klooster has got everyone clutching their pearls with this very naughty wedding photo of a couple that just could not wait to get to the honeymoon suite. The image has gone viral because of the very convincing simulation of oral sex:

Klooster also took a shot of the same couple canoodling in the back of a car, but after that suggestive pic, it seems comparatively innocent:

Klooster toldThe Huffington Post that the image was not his idea at all. It was the mother of the bride’s concept.

“We were taking photos and she [told] me that they wanted that kind of picture, but the bride and groom didn’t dare ask me,” he wrote to them in a Facebook message. “Then I just said, ‘Of course, we are gonna do it.’ So I suggested where they need to stand for the right vibe!”

There has been something of an outcry from people who think Klooster and his naughty pic are what’s wrong with the world today, but he thinks everyone’s got their panties in a twist over nothing.

“You see nothing in this picture, but it looks like something is going on there,” he said. “Every picture you’ll take with that kind of question is interesting to watch. For me, sex is one of the most natural things we do in life. It’s normal! Everyone does it. We don’t live in the 1900s anymore.”

He added that, “there are bigger problems in the world than this funny picture.” Also, though there are a fair number of people who don’t like it, a whole bunch do. Klooster says he’s been contacted by lots of couples who want him to shoot their wedding, and a few other scenarios.

“If it’s not porn, I don’t have any problems with that,” he said.

Do you think the picture is pure smut? Or do you agree with Klooster that it’s harmless fun?

This Mom Was Not Allowed To Breastfeed In Public At Her Friend's Wedding

The Facebook group Breastfeeding Mama Talk included a post in which someone shared a wedding invitation which asked that attending breastfeeding mothers only feed their children in the bathrooms. And immediately the internet wondered why that was anyone’s business.

“To all our mommies who are breastfeeding, we are thinking of you; we are sensitive to the fact you may need to breastfeed during our event, therefore we have designated an appropriate place for you to feed your baby so that you do not have to do so in public in front of our Family and Friends,” the note reads—emphasis theirs. “For your convenience we our accommodating you with a comfortable and private area with chairs and baby blankets in the ladies room. We request that you use this area when you are breastfeeding. Thank you.”

Yup, I’m sure it’s for the moms convenience. Anyway, the confused guest turned to the group for advice.

“This was in the invitation to my husband’s best friends wedding,” the mom wrote. “My husband is the best man so it will just be me in the crowd. We have had several arguments over ‘my’ breastfeeding ways and they have multiple times voiced that I need to go elsewhere to do that in ‘private!’ I was going to just be nice and let my best girl friend watch my two kids (ages 2 and 3 months) and she would wet nurse my youngest (she’s still nursing her 2 year old as well) because we haven’t found a bottle my youngest will take yet and wet nursing doesn’t bother me. Hubby and I were just gonna make it a date night… But apparently that wasn’t okay either. so I said would just bring my littlest baby to the wedding then, but no way in hell I will leave and nurse her in the bathroom (no matter how ‘nice’ they make it!) I don’t eat in the bathroom I’m not feeding my child in there!… I want to be ‘nice’ as possible but what should I do!? Go ahead and leave her with my friend (who by the way has nursed her multiple times) or take her!? Help!”

She ended up leaving her kids with her friend, according to Breastfeeding Mama Talk, even though most of the moms there said they would have probably just said “screw it” and stayed home. Personally, I’m not sure I’d be friends with someone who was THAT offended by the sight of me feeding my kid.

Best Man Trolls Groom By Reading His PornHub Search History During Wedding Speech

Best Man Trolls Groom By Reading His PornHub Search History During Wedding Speech

When one sits down to write a best man or maid of honor speech, the task can be a little intimidating.

These speeches tend to be an important part of the wedding reception, so the speakers want to make sure that they are heartfelt, and memorable. Usually the speeches tell embarrassing stories or fond memories of days gone by.

Thom, the best man at Danny Hodgetts’s wedding, decided to take his speech to a whole new level.

Source

In fact Thom partnered with porn site Pornhub, to create a hilarious trip down memory lane of his Pornhub experience.

Watch the video below:

The video starts with a message from Aria, a representative of Pornhub.

Source

She starts by reminiscing of days gone by. “We’ve been with you for years now,” she says. “Witnessing all your varying phases.”

Here were two of her favorites:

Source

“Danny, your stamina and loyalty is very much appreciated,” Aria says. She confesses that all of the girls are “gutted” to hear he is getting married.

Source

She also goes on to prove his loyalty by saying that through his travels he has enjoyed their website “in the most countries worldwide.”

Source

Aria makes sure to ease his worry by saying that Pornhub has saved all of his personal favorites from their website.

Source

Aria congratulates the bride and groom and lets them know that Pornhub has a gift for them as well. Pornhub knows his wife can’t travel everywhere with him, so they have offered him a premium membership whenever he travels.

She responded to the groom’s tweet with a word of congratulations and a link to the original video:

As you might expect, Thom’s speech was a hit with the wedding party and guests.

He told Refinery29:

“Everyone at the wedding loved it. My friend’s face as it was being introduced and played was priceless. They both saw it for what is was, very good-natured humour at his expense. You can see the reactions from the crowd in the video. Wonderful.”

Congrats to the show-stealing best man, Thom, for the most memorable speech the Internet has seen in awhile.

This College Student Went Viral For Having A Last Name That's Hard To Wedding Hashtag

Fear of not being able to have an adorable wedding hashtag is real, and the sum of those fears is here. I present: college student Steven Kleinschmidt.

Kleinschmidt joins me and many other cursed souls in having a last name that doesn’t exactly conjure romance.

But other Twitter users started thinking up some actually ingenious hashtags.

Including lots of “smitten” puns, which Kleinschmidt told BuzzFeed were his favorite. “Everything else was clever but nothing you’d ever really use for a wedding hashtag,” he said.

What, Steven, you don’t think these would make good wedding hashtags?

Internet Bands Together To Find Woman's 147-Year-Old Wedding Dress

Tess Newall, a bride from Edinburgh, Scotland, got married in June wearing the same gown every woman in her family has worn since her great-great-grandmother. Even cooler? Her great-great-grandmother made it herself way back in 1870.

Some time later, the newlywed took the 147-year-old dress to Kleen Cleaners for a specialty dry clean. But soon after, the store fell into liquidation and Newall was told by administrators Wylie & Bisset that her dress had been lost in the process.

Distressed, Newall took to Facebook in the hopes that someone might recognize the family heirloom. Her post quickly acquired more than 300,000 shares and 43,000 comments.

She wrote in full:

I have just found out that the dry cleaners have lost my much loved wedding dress. It was made by my Great Great Granny in 1870 (I altered the top) and I wore it in June 2016. Kleen Cleaners in Edinburgh used to be the best but recently fell into crooked hands and have gone into liquidation. It seems that the dress was taken to be sold so it could be winging its way anywhere. Please share this far and wide in case anyone stumbles across it! I realise there are far greater issues in the world but it means the world to us. More family memories need to be woven into its threads.

Thank you so so much.

Love Tess x</span>

Somehow, the post made its way onto the Facebook feed of the person who now owns the building. He checked what was behind by the previous administrators and found “a crumpled heap of antique lace on the floor.”

The owner let Newall&apos;s parents into the shop, where they found that it was the dress they&apos;d been looking for. Newall updated her post to thank everyone for sharing the post.

Despite this letter received today saying..

“it appears that your dress was NOT located with the wedding dresses within the store and as such was DISPOSED OF when the premises were cleared”

..We received a phone call from the very kind landlord of the shop property who had read about it through this amazing response. He checked what was left by the administrators Wylie & Bisset and found a crumpled heap of antique lace on the floor. My mum and dad have just been let into the shop and to their amazement and joy it is our dress! (Still with our ticket attached, but not even cleaned)</span>

But they still have one hurdle left: Actually retrieving the dress and taking it home.

Frustratingly – a representative of Wylie & Bisset who showed up after weeks of ignoring our pleas to let us in insisted that for “procedural reasons” he must take it back to his office in Glasgow, but assure us it will be delivered safely back to us on Monday.

My family can&apos;t thank you all enough for creating this frenzy which allowed us into the shop before it was too late, and are over the moon to be *almost* reunited with Dora&apos;s dress</span>

Still, Facebook commenters were ecstatic at the news. “So very pleased for you,” one user wrote. “Nice to have a happy ending for a change.” The power of the Internet never ceases to amaze.

Indian Businessman Spends Daughter's $100,000 Wedding Budget On Homes For 90 People Instead

A rich businessman in India has reportedly used the $ 100,000 that he had intended to spend on his daughter’s wedding on building 90 small houses for the region’s poor.

Ajay Munot, a wealthy wholesale trader from the district of Aurangabad, India, set three criteria to distinguish who was eligible for a home on the two acres of land according to the Free Press Journal. They needed to be poor, live in a slum and not suffer from an addiction.

Each home is 12 by 20 square foot, has two windows and two doors and is fitted with lights and can fit a small family.

Munot’s newly-wedded daughter, Shreya, told ANI News that she was happy to forgo a big wedding to make something more permanent. She and her new husband handed over the keys to the new homeowners, calling it the “biggest gift for her wedding.”

Those who secured a home are already moving in, with one woman saying she was happy now that she and her family had easy access to water and electricity.
