Trump Supporters Tried To Boycott Stephen King’s ‘IT’—It Didn’t Work Out So Well

Famed horror author Stephen King has had a shaky relationship with President Trump and his supporters for some time now.

Unafraid of tackling Trump’s policies, King even managed to get himself blocked on Twitter by the President in August, prompting him to “ban” Trump from seeing two of his then-upcoming movies: ITandMr. Mercedes:

In retaliation, Trump supporters took to Reddit to organize a boycott ofIT:

Many users were down for the boycott:

Although others wanted to see it as long as no money went to King:

In the end, though, their boycott attempt was a total bust. IT has become a runaway smash hit, opening with a massive $ 123 million haul over the weekend in the U.S., according to Variety, and is expected to rake in an additional $ 62 million in foreign markets.

In fact, it’s on track to become the biggest opening weekend ever for a supernatural or horror film.

But that didn’t stop King fans from trolling Trump and his followers:

Given the horrors the country has already seen, perhaps there’s a certain clown that could step in for Trump:

Next time, don’t mess with King:

James Woods Tries To Slam Liberals For Tearing Down Racist Statues—It Didn’t Go So Well

James Woods Tries To Slam Liberals For Tearing Down Racist Statues—It Didn’t Go So Well

The “Ghosts of Mississippi” actor attacked “#liberals” by suggesting the removal of the Iwo Jima World War II memorial.

James Woods is furious over the removal of Confederate statues around the country.

And to express his disgust, the actor, who is well known for his far right politics, suggested on Twitter that liberals may go after the famed Iwo Jima Memorial next.

Cue the Internet, which turned its mocking meme generation to eleven by offering up suggestions of other statues liberals might want to take down. No monument was safe, regardless of what they stood for.

Thank you, James Woods, for giving birth to the “I thought some of you might like to see it one more time…” meme.

Service with a smile? Sorry, Bob’s gotta go.

Wiggling french fries are a disgrace to the food industry.

What’s the point?

The Fonz should not be in bronze.

Too high to get over, too low to get under.

Users also weighed in on the idiocy of the actor’s much maligned tweet.

When one user took to Twitter to defend keeping the statues, he got schooled with some facts.

Some perspective.

This Marine revealed the logical flaw at the heart of Woods’s tweet.

But hey, we’re not out of the “Woods” yet, here’s one last meme for good measure.

'Game Of Thrones' Finally Showed A Dragon In Battle And It Was Well Worth The Wait

‘Game Of Thrones’ Finally Showed A Dragon In Battle And It Was Well Worth The Wait

A few months back, Game of Thrones show runner David Benioff announced that season 7 would only be seven episodes long, opposed to the usual ten. But they’re making up for the short season with extra action. Last night’s episode featured a massive battle between the Dothraki horde and Lannister army while Daenerys rained fire from above on the back of Drogon.

Social media users were on the edge of their seats for a solid 15 minutes…

At first, people were naive enough to think that Jaime actually stood a chance.

And then Drogon happened.

As soon as it became apparent that things were going down, no one knew who they were rooting for.

But some people were pretty clear with their allegiances.

Others remembered Olenna Tyrell’s advice to Daenerys.

And as much as people love Jaime, they were screaming at their television screens.

NO JAIME, EVERYTHING IS NOT FINE.

And once it was all over, this realization hit everyone like a truck…

Woman Puts Trump's Qualifications Into His Points-Based Immigration System—It Didn't Go Well

It’s no secret that Donald Trump has been keen on cracking down on immigration since the day he stepped into office.

So when Trump endorsed a bill that would cut down legal immigration by half earlier this week, it didn’t come as much of a surprise.

The bill, called the RAISE Act, would institute a skills-based point system for entry, rewarding educated, English-speaking immigrants with high-salary job offers. The measure would also eliminate diversity visa lotteries, and maintains that immigrants who enter the country would be ineligible for welfare for a certain amount of time.

The new rules clearly favor certain immigrants over others. Given the rigorousness of the standards proposed, Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell wondered what would happen if the tables were turned.

Rampell’s assessment, which is, of course, highly speculative, doesn’t give Trump much of a chance.

In fact, according to Rampell, Trump would score a zero in several categories, including “Age,” “Record of extraordinary achievement,”  “English-language ability,” and “High-paying job offer,” based on the sometimes ambiguous, sometimes absurdly-specific language of the bill.

Trump’s final score: 18.

The minimum score to even be considered: 30.

Some could argue that Trump would score in the top 10% of the English-language test, which would garner him the 12 points needed to meet the threshold, but there would most likely be applicants who would score well over the 30 points, potentially knocking Trump off the list.

Twitter wasn’t too shocked by the results:

Tomi Lahren Just Tried Comparing Comey's Testimony To Benghazi, And It Didn't Go So Well

While former FBI Director James Comey testified today, conservative firebrand Tomi Lahren weighed in on his testimony the night previous.

Tomi tweeted this many hours before Comey even sat down with the Senate.

Never mind the fact that the possibility of a President being brought into power by foreign meddling, and then that same President seeking to stop the public from discovering this, is a serious matter.

Nope! This was not and is not important to Lahren.

Also, never mind the fact that Hillary and Benghazi were investigated to infinity and beyond. That doesn’t matter to Lahren, either.

Twitter, however, did not let Lahren get away with her over-simplified comparison.

Even that’s being generous…

Facts have NO place here!

The President Gets Fed Like A Teenageer In The White House And, Well, Blech

The President Gets Fed Like A Teenageer In The White House And, Well, Blech

Similar to his thoughts on environmental issues, Trump is insouciant about his diet.

The president powers up on Big Macs, KFC, Domino’s, and he washes it all down with his favorite elixir, Diet Coke. Which is interesting, since he once tweeted this:

twitter

twitter

The president vouches for his love of fast food because the companies  maintain a high standard of hygiene. Notorious for bristling at  double-dipping partygoers, Trump has always been obsessed with a high  level of cleanliness.

“One bad hamburger, and you can destroy  McDonald’s. One bad hamburger and you take Wendy’s and all these other  places and they’re out of business,” he told a pre-adversarial Anderson  Cooper at a CNN town-hall-style meeting early last year.

“I like cleanliness, and I think you’re better off going there than maybe some place that you have no idea where the food is coming from.”

nyt

He waxed poetic about Mickey D’s. “The Big Macs are great. The Quarter Pounder. It’s great stuff,” he praised.

But now that he has his meals served at the White House, he still insists on “clean” food.A Time‘s  report on the White House’s after hours described a scene in the dining  room. “The waiters know well Trump’s personal preferences. As he  settles down, they bring him a Diet Coke, while the rest of us are served water, with the Vice President sitting at one end of the table,” read the excerpt.

“With the salad course, Trump is served what appears to be Thousand Island dressing instead of the creamy vinaigrette for his guests. When the chicken arrives, he is the only one given an extra dish of sauce,” the report read.

“At the dessert course, he gets two scoops of vanilla ice cream with his chocolate cream pie, instead of the single scoop for everyone else,” the report continued. One  would be sadly mistaken to think that a teenager was present at the  table, when in fact, the needs of a 70-year-old’s palate was being  tended to.

The report added, “The tastes of Pence are also tended to. Instead of the pie, he gets a fruit plate.”

While on the campaign trail last year, he would often show his reverence for Colonel Sanders.

twitter

It appears as if the president’s tastes haven’t evolved much since  moving into the White House. There seems to be as much junk going into  his mouth, as there is spewing forth.

Trump Supporter Posts Email While 'Boycotting' Netflix And It Doesn't End Well

Yesterday, Twitter user and Donald Trump supporter, Baked Alaska, decided to cancel his Netflix subscription over the recently announced show Dear White People. The show is based on a satirical comedy film of the same name which explores racial tensions from the perspectives of several black students at an Ivy League college.

This shouldn’t be a surprise considering that Baked Alaska was due to attend the pro-Donald Trump ‘DepolaBall’ in December, but was removed from the list of headliners when it emerged that he had a history of anti-Semitic and pro-Nazi tweets about the “Jewish question.”

Baked Alaska claimed in a tweet that the show “promotes white genocide,” and included a screenshot of his canceled Netflix subscription.

For some reason, he decided to leave his email address in the screenshot. Here’s what happened next…

At least he sees the humor in it?

As does the rest of the internet.
