People Are Losing It Over Coat Meghan Markle Just Wore To Her First Royal Engagement

Soon-to-be Princess Meghan Markle made a a dazzling debut on the world stage this week.

Prince Harry and his fiancée made their first official appearance together in the UK, meeting a community that is “very special” to the Prince. The couple did their inaugural royal walkabout through Nottingham, then attended a World AIDS Day event.

Markle charmed people with her glowing smile and warm enthusiasm — and her chic coat:

Later, they visited the Nottingham academy, where they watched young actors perform an improvised play about a “fictional” young couple going public with their secret romance. One of the actors, 19-year-old Taynika Jarrett-Bennett, said, “We wanted to make it a fun play and involve the royals.”

And Markle won over the cast when she complimented their performance.

And so a new royal chapter begins. We think Princess Diana would be proud.

Melania Trump Wore A $1,380 Shirt To Garden And Twitter Is Not Pleased

Melania Trump apparently wore a $ 1,380 shirt to dig up vegetables in the White House garden today, which, okay. I understand that she’s rich, like all first ladies, and it’s totally normal for rich people to wear expensive things. My amazement is with the shirt that cost that much.

The Balmain tartan shirt was “inspired by David Bowie, George Michael and Prince” and has “a rebellious ’80s attitude,” according to Net-A-Porter, even though, in my humble opinion, the blouse looks undistinguishable from several shirts I bought from Uniqlo a few years ago.

The reaction to Melania’s blouse mostly seems to be how is it possible for any shirt to cost that much?

Melania’s shirt, which is apparently dry clean only, was neatly paired with skinny jeans, converse, and cute red gardening gloves.

Anyway, she looks as happy and comfortable touching dirt as you’d imagine.

Happy first day of fall, everybody.

Donald Trump Wore A Mismatched Suit And Twitter Dragged Him

The President of the United States has, in the past month, considered cutting the refugee cap to the lowest level a president has ever set, seemingly equated counter-protestors with actual white supremacists, and publicly went back and forth over whether he planned to end DACA. People have lots of issues with all of that, but right now, let’s talk about fashion. Specifically—did Donald Trump wear a mismatched suit to his meeting with Sen. Tim Scott?

It appears he did, unless it’s some really weird trick of the light. Why? How? Doesn’t the White House have employees whose job is to tell the president “don’t go out like that?”

And of course, even Barack Obama, the president GQ probably made in a lab, wore a tan suit once.

By the way, as Someecards‘s Orli Matlow points out, it’s kind of nice that we’re having this dumb fashion conversation about a male politician, right?

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Wore Green On TV—It Wasn’t A Smart Idea

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the newly minted White House Press Secretary, is learning a valuable lesson on the job: if you wear solid green on television, viewers may be tempted to use it as a green screen so they can superimpose hilarious images onto you.

Social media is incredibly grateful.

Katheryn has a request.

This guy used Sanders’s dress in a practical way.

One user had a suggestion for what McLaren should include in his next clip.

Hopefully Sanders wears another green ensemble soon so we can get a sequel to this epic clip. Because, well…

Yes it is, Ryebread, yes it is.
